    How is Chris Carter doing in the minors - will he be able to take the DH spot? I do not like Baldelli as DH.

    This brings a good question - is testing working? I heard in the talk show that lots of baseball players are still using it and they are confident they will never be caught. As soon as they find a test for HGH - may be the players will move on to something else that is undetectable. So - the labs/black marketters and players will always be a step ahead of MLB. I think the testing has somewhat changed the culture. Previously - almost everyone was cheating and it was part of MLB culture. It used to be like a road where there are no cops - so you can speed to stay ahead and you probably will as everyone else is speeding. I think right now the players know exactly where the cops are in that road - so they can slow down when they need to but still can speed if needed and will not get caught unless they are stupid like Manny.

    Memo to Ortiz: Please get back to whatever stuffs you were using before and see if that helps. We all know you are regular roid user - so if you get caught in testing - no harm will be done. In fact the 50 game suspension may be the only way we can move you out of the line-up - so you will really help this team to win.

    Larry David (acting as Steinberner), who is also the co-creator of Seinfeld has done one of the best acting performances in the serial - and he never showed his face.

    They were a joke under the boss for a long time until the late 90's championship. He made a mockery of the Yankees - best illustrated by some of the Seinfeld episode. He also started the culture of buying washed up talents with long term huge contracts and trading away the firm.

    This is not surprising - what is surprising is that Steinberners came in 4th - they are the 4th best owners in baseball?

    In spite of all strikeouts - Dunn's OBP is phenomenal along with his power. And I don't buy into the Ricardi's assessment last year that he is anti-clutch. If you are making a case for replacing Ortiz as off now - well the way he is batting at DH/3rd spot - it is not too hard is it? Ortiz from 2003-2007 can't be replaced by Dunn or anybody.

    All these carrying the load will only work to some point. It is just buying time - not a fix. My personal timeline for Ortiz is end of thsi month. If he can't do it by then - he should not be in the line-up.

    Red Sox have a mental block against Tampa that they must overcome. Game 7 loss last year was a big shock and I think they have not overcome it yet. Tampa is not as good as last year - and our players need to realize that.

    I am not going to argue back and forth - but bringing Ramirez to get the last 2 outs is a better decision IMO. Worked out for Francona - but he still sucks at bullpen management.

    I guess you are - he walked Burell. Oki is awesome - but he should have been taken out for Ramon. Francona is the worst bullpen manager.
