    Ped is a great hitter - but not sure about that part. His swing is as unorthodox as it could be - specially for a guy of his size.

    It is absolutely the # 1 reason - without him we do not make the post-season. I know that our starters were injured - but our offense around ASB was so bad - it was threatening to be one of the league worst. Bay was in huge slump and so was Ortiz. Somehow - VMart became the castalyst that bought the offense to very respectable. Getting V-Mart is a nice feather on Theo's otherwise dismal record with trades. Not sure how the prospects and Masterson will work out in futrure - but in short term - he became Red Sox savior 2009.

    I will never leave VA to go to Cleveland. Nice town, nice lazy people. Economy in shambles and statistically worst sports town in America. And the weather sucked.

    I lived in Cleveland for 2 years - but then got out of 'Loser City of America'. ( sports + economy) I would have given that title to Detroit - if not for the Red Wings.

    Melky Cabrera has been honoured today for his cycle this season at the Yankee stadium along with Jeter and Mo. Apparently the cycle is of same value as 500 saves /most hits in Yankee history. Is cycle the most stupid achivement? 3 HR is so much better than cycle.

    I don't want Minny to getin - they are owned by the Yanks. With Detroit - there is a slim chance thattheywont make it to next round. Is Tito trying to break Met's last year collapse record - it is kinda late for that.
