  1. Ya well all the LA Loons should be gone for a day or two, with JD going yard last night 2 + a rbi double for a total of 7, this little trip back to the NL may help get his bat going. Great game.
  2. Jesus, we lose a few games and all the loons come out(Metorpolitan Cowboy,Nommahhamwhatever, WadeBoggs on a horse)...
  3. Great game, too bad about the no no but we won and in the end thats what counts. Bats weren't on today, alot of hard hit stuff by they were atom balls. Drew had a good hit and if the SS hadn't been standing in the perfect spot he would have been 2-4. He made good contact tonight so maybe he will get his swing back. All in all a great game...
  4. Fine were splitting hairs between bottom of the 1st tier bin and the top of the 2nd. Hes still a better player then the other two and they got ridiculous deals also. It was a bloated market, Damon would have got a 100M deal if he was a FA last yr, thats how insane it was. Hes here, get over it, might as well cheer for the guy and hope he helps the team. What players get payed these days is ridiculous, most contracts are absurd. So I try not to even pay attention to what they make. Just play ball and win some games.
  5. Yes but hes better then Matthews JR, Peirre. JD is towards the bottom of 1st tier OF, But Matthews and Peirre are second tier guys. You have to pay 1st tier guys more then 2nd tier guys. Such is life and thats how the buisness works.
  6. Not being Hypocrites for the signing, but them giving Nixon an applause for effort, and on the same play giving Drew s*** for getting himself dinged up.
  7. You can't be serious
  8. If they rade him and get a 1st rounder I won't mind really. But they will need to bring in some DB's. Not sure if there are any out there for trades at the moment. Anyone got any ideas for a contigincy plan if they deal Samuel?
  9. Bit of a stretch buy hey what the hell.....Lets Go Sox! Winner Winner Chicken Dinner!
  10. No I think it might have to do with the Kamakazi run into the RF wall. That hit would have bad effets on anyone it happend to. The guy got stronger towards the end of the seaon last year, thats a sign of a recovering shoulder. I think his shoulder is fine, its his lower back that could be an issue. And I'll say it again, if Trot Nixon does the same thing and gos balls out into the wall and lands himself on the DL, most of you would be giving him a hand for his effort. But when Drew does it hes a nancy boy. Bunch of f***ing Hypocrites round here...
  11. hahahaha he was awesome in that movie:thumbsup:
  12. Wang is looking good too, might we have a pitchers duel?
  13. He does look strong threw the first couple innings...
  14. It was ment to be a sarcastic remark to you vasquez striking out the side remark.
  15. Vasquez throwing gassssss...LOL
  16. Ive been saying this over and over again, preaching to the choir!LOL:thumbsup:
  17. I guess we could see them shop Snyder, sine JT will most likely take over the long man spot starter role, or the could shop JT and sell hi on him, not sure what he bring back, but between JT, Snyder, and Pinerio I think atleast one of them gets moved in a trade.
  18. No he might not be worth 14M, but when other free agent OF such as Gary Matthews JR gets 5 yrs 50 or 55M and Juan Pierre got his ridiculous deal, then your going to have to give Drew a little more since he is a better player then the 2 previously mentioned. Its how the market was. Ya the Sox gave JD more then they offered Damon, but Damon would have got a 6 or 7 yr deal approaching over going over 100M last offseason. It was a bloated market, they signed the best available player to play RF and hit 5th. Yes we could have had Nixon for 1 yr and saved a bunch of money, but he was basically becoming a sure out and was falling apart infront of us. Lets give JD some time, maybe even a season which I have already said I was willing to give him from the get go...
  19. Wang is getting smacked around alot this year. His perph. numbers showed he probably wouldnt be able to sustain the success he enjoyed last season. Hes decent, but I take Beckett or matsuzaka andyday over him.
  20. I can't believe you mentioned Wang and Santanna in the same sentence.
  21. Ya with Hansen struggling ot get guys out in AAA and Delcarmen not doing much better, there great options...
  22. Id see if there are any feelers on Pinerio. Some national laegue team might take a chance on him, such as maybe the Phillies. Don´t expect much back, but maye you can get them to pick up 2M of the salary, or something anythinig really...
  23. Ya I agree with you guys, he is being a baby and you have to know by now afterplaying in NE for a few years this is not how you get extended. This is how you get sent out of town and the Pats replace you in a week and play like you were never there. Although at the CB position we are kind of thin. I hope they can find a few corners that can stay healthy all season and play decent ball...
  24. Can you say"Stud"? I wonder if they move him to AAA soon...
  25. Crisp- If they traded him I wouldn't cry(also wouldn't be surprised if he thrived in another city), but I won't fault the FO for holding onto him at this point. Drew- Listen you can all talk about Drew being a nancy boy, if it wasnt for a freak injury(hit on wrist by pitch) the guys last 3 seasons would have been at 140+, which in todays game is nice. Everyone thought the guy would not give his all and lolly gag around, instead he didn't, he ran balls out into a wall just like Trot would have( and if the same thing happened to Trot that happened to Drew most of you would be giving him a free pass because of the effort), now because he played all out he fd his back up, and I defy anyone who has seen the replay to say that s*** didn't hurt or it wouldn't have messed up your back, we want to call him a pansy ass. You can't have the s*** both ways. I for one was already giving the guy a 1 yr handicap. Hes a career National league guy, there for hasn't played in most AL parks or faced any AL pitchers on a regular basis. Beckett even tho a pitcher went threw the same process last season. Everyone bitched and moaned because he struggle at times, While Hanley played great and Annibal threw a no no(btw hes sitting in the minors cause he was ineffective, in the national league). Now look at Beckett, we are reeping the benifits of him adjusting to the AL after one season. I wasn't expecting a hole lot from Drew in yr 1, yr 2 is were I want to see the numbers. Romero- Ya hes a bum, not sure what they can do with him tho.... Lugo- Is stealing bases and knocking in runs, he just doesn't seem to beable to hit when no ones on base. As long as he knocks in runs, scores runs, and steals bases when hes needed to, then I think the Avg.(which isnt a great stat to judge someone by as we all have come to know) will come up. Hes playing a decent SS as well. A move in the batting order might help. Dougie- Were stuck with him until Wake no longer pitcher, or we find another catcher that can catch the Knuckler and maybe hit .260, until then there really is no other option, unless we don't pitch Wake, and as he is a nice innigs eater on most nights, Id rather see him pitch then not.
