  1. New England Patriots QB- Tom Brady, We all know the season he had last year. I expect another good numbers season, but I don't think we will see as big of numbers, as the Pats I think will try to run the ball more. RB-Laurence Maroney, Maroney has had games where he looks like a big time back, but also had games where he has disappered. He also has had problems with staying healthy. But if hes healthy and NE commits to running the ball more, hes a legit 1,000 yard back. Also the Pats at the moment are pretty deep at RB, with Morris, Faulk, and Lamont Jordan. WR- Moss and Welker will obviously be the main targets. Gaffney will most likely step into the 3rd WR role. Some unknowns fill out the remainder of the Depth chart for the Pats. TE- Benjamin Watson, he has become one of the best recieveing TE around. Marcus Pollard, David Thomas, Stephen Spach and Jonathan stupar will be in competition for playing time. Marcus Pollard is a veteran, nothing spectacular, but better then alot of back ups. The other 3 are more of the blocking type, last seasons Kyle Brady. FB- Heath Evans- with only 2 FB in camp, I don't see the FB's being a big part of the offense. The will have the roles, and depending on injury, Evans could see sometime carrying the ball. Hes nothing to write home about, but hes decent in a pinch. Eckel a player from the Naval academy, is a special teams specialist for the most part. OL- All the usual suspects are back for another season of keeping Tom Brady upright, grass stain free and of course injury free. Light, Koppen, Neal, Kacur and Mankins are a solid unit overall unless they are playing against the NYG 07 DL. Defense I'll return to post the D after I read more abouty some of the players.
  2. Hes in camp LOL GB has been in contact with the Vikings amd said Hes available.
  3. Anyone know anything about Colon? Maybe the Sox try him in the set up role.
  4. Bit of a Homer Simpson moment, but I have them too, so I didn't feel the need to call you out on it LOL:thumbsup:
  5. AL or NL, which ever one he plays in.
  6. User Name, I see you have calmed down a little since the intial trade came out. I understand where your coming from, I too am a Manny fan. But putting my fanhood/emotions aside, I realize this is something the Sox had to do for better or worse. Especially after hearing the story of Theo gathering the Vets together and they ALL said Manny had to go. Manny was sucking the life from the team and it showed alot during the Angels series. As for Bay, hes an adequate replacement, shown by the stats posted by others already, everyone should be cheering there ass's off for this guy and make him feel as welcome as possible. I hope he doesn't get booed and jeered from the same knuclke draggers that booed Drew for replacing hop along Trot.
  7. Holy sweet flying f_ck... A Yankee fan, and Gom to boot, actually sees this for what it is.... Gom I can't believe of all people you seem to see it very clearly.
  8. .... He sat against Joba so that does no good, he crushed Yanks pitching. Again, the pitching might not be as talented or as deep, but its all going to be new, Manny has 2 months to learn a whole new league of pitchers for the most part. I'm not saying he will be awful, but I don't see him doing much more then what hes doing now.
  9. unreal..... you want him to do bad so the Sox will trade him.... I guess in your world a player not playing good makes his trade value higher. If you really want him traded, then you should be hoping for a monster 2 months and for the Sox to sell hi and get a good return on him.
  10. For all those ass clowns saying Bay sucks, who else would you have wanted? Manny isn't an option, he wanted out. Moss has no where to play and was not destend to be the future LF(the only spot available anytime soon). Hansen has good stuff but is still more of a worry then a reliability at this point.
  11. I'm noticing a trend, most people who are throwing temper tantrums and pissing and moaning about something they have no control over, have about 100 posts or less. I can't be anymore blunt, Manny quit on the Sox to force a deal, if Manny wanted to stay he would have vetoed any deal, he wanted out, he didn't want his options picked up, he wants a new 4 yr deal. Let the Mets sign him.
  12. Manny is leaving the hitter friendly AL parks and heading to the Pitchers park of the NL west, throw in he has to face almost all new pitchers, I say he will do ok but I don't think he will be unbelievable.
  13. They probably don't care. And RSN would probably be better off without you. Post like this that drip with absolute bias and are said while wearing Manny glasses, is whats pathetic and is usually left up to Jacko's posts about Yankee fodder:D. I'm sure you cried yourself to sleep when the Sox traded Nomah. Go change your Sox underoo's and cheer for your team. Have you watched a game recently? Manny doesn't run plays out, but the last few games he has taken it to another level. Hes a risk right now, like i've said, there going to miss 2 months of his play, a few years ago I would have been mad at this, but hes not the same player he was. I don't care how good he is, if hes not going to try then hes no use to the Sox. Are you hi on glue? How do you not rate Bay? He isn't the cream of the crop, but he isn't a hack either. The fact that you won't " rate him ", shows that your probably a douche and don't know your A hole from a hole in the ground.
  14. Doesn't matter what stats Manny has put up, his head wasn't in Boston, therefore hes no good to the Sox. Bay is a decent replacement, considering Manny is not the same hitter he was 2 years ago. I love Manny, but it was time for him to go, he didn't just burn the bridge, he blew it up trying to flee Boston. The only thing on Manny/Boras mind right now is a 4yr 100M deal and not on the goals of this season. If it is true about the rest of the players souring on Manny and his antics then its a move that had to be made. Maybe this shake up will do them some good, add a spark to a team thats looked very flat recently. Manny was on his way out of town anyway, now its just two months early. Bay is cheap and a decent hitter, the Sox have him next season and then they have the option of going after a big $ OF if they choose to do so. Thanks Manny for all you did in the Nation:D
  15. If Manny stays and they let him go after the season is over, I hope the trade for Holliday. I'm not sure if the Sox are better with him or without him at this point. Obviously his bat is great but if hes throwing AB's of his head isn't in it(more then usual) then I don't see the upside in not trading him. At this point trading him for Kemp wouldn't be bad. Maybe they can squeeze LA for someone else with Kemp.
  16. ESPN says this deal is still alive but I don't see any confirmation yet.
  17. The NL West parks are as pitcher friendly as they come. You put Holliday in the Sox lineup where he will have adequate protection unlike Colorado, he could put up big numbers. Look what coming to the Sox did for Lowell. Holliday could be a doubles machine, and put up good HR totals. I still say the ship Manny to NYM for a prospect and relief arm, then take the prospect and add a few more in and send them to Colorado for Holliday and Fuentes. Manny is gone, we get an adequate RH power hitter for the future, and a LH RP for this years stretch run. Bowden,Kalish,Moss,+NYM prospect asnd possibly one more lower level prospect from the Sox. Thats a pretty nice haul for the Rox.
  18. This is almiost the exact deal I stated in the Henry pissed off thread. But I think it could be, Mets Get Manny Sox get Holliday and Fuentes Colorado gets Bowden, +2 more prospects from the Sox and have the Mets send F. Martinez +1 to the Rox as well. This is one of those deals that it seems like all sides make out. Now Minya is going to have to pick up Mannys options or maybe the Sox allow a 24 hour window to let the Mets try to give him some sort of extension.
  19. 3 way deal anyone? Sox get- Holliday, Fuentes Mets get- Manny Rox get- Masterson, + 2 more prospects from the Sox and 1 or 2 from the Mets..... I am in no way saying the Sox have to trade Manny, but hes is getting up there in age, and Holliday could play LF and Knock 30 HR for the next 6 or 7 years and beyond. Holliday would have to be inked long term for this to be worth it tho.
  20. I did not mean to speak for everyone, this was not my intention. I also agree Youk is playing better right now. I am more speaking towards the future. Tex is a big bat and the Sox don't have anything like that on the way to the ML level. Papi and Manny won't be around forever. But don't get me worng, I don't have any issues with Youk being the everyday 1B.
