  1. I've always advocated for Ellsbury to be at the top of the line up but he's starting to show that power I thought he would develop(I took a lot of crap for that prediction lol), so keeping him down might pay off. Any lineup is good as long as Crawford is not flailing away like a fish out of water at the top of it.
  2. Calm down man. Let the first month play out before you start worrying too much. Lester always Sucks in April. Buchholz pitched well, but gave up 4 solo shots. And Lackey was crap against a hot offense. There is really no shockers to this point. This type of stuff is going to happen. They weren't going 162-0 even with all the hype they were getting this spring. The pitchers won't be aces every time out. The Red Sox being 0-3 and people are panicking. Are we also giving the WS to the 3-0 Orioles?
  3. Pedro and it's not even close.
  4. Crawford in the three spot is awful to watch. He looked like a fish out of water yesterday. Flailing all over the damn place. I'm hoping the move Agon there eventually and they have Crawford there now to limit Agons AB's as they ease him in after his shoulder issues. I still say having Agon, Youk and Crawford 3-4-5 is the best option overall. Crawford doesn't want to lead off. Pedroia is a better #2 hitter and Crawford is awful in the #3 spot.
  5. Well said. I agree totally.
  6. Getting Hanley at #5 is an absolute steal. Whomever picked 2, 3, 4(assuming Albert went #1) need a mental check up. I think Hanley is due for a monstah year.
  7. NWIH that happens. The Guardians have absolutely no reason to trade Santana. They have even less of a reason to take on Dice-K's contract. And Dice-K is not waiving his NTC to pitch in Cleveland. I believe he said earlier this off season he would only waive his clause if the trade put him closer to home. So it's West Coast teams or bust. There probably a few teams out there that wouldn't mind having him. Oakland, Seattle, SF, LAD, and Colorado could all reasonably have interest.
  8. It's risky. But if Bautista came out this season and hit 30+HR, he was looking at a "Werth" type(or close to it) deal upon hitting Free Agency. The deal will be a absolute steal or an albatross.
  9. :wtf: is up with that?
  10. Agon will have plenty of FB to hit. With Ellsbury and or Crawford on and Youk protecting him, it shouldn't be a huge swing in FB seen IMO. Will be an interesting to see how pitcher approach him this season.
  11. It might work better for me. Not sure when we go ahead. There is usually a couple week span where we are only 5 hours ahead. Thanks for the heads up. Yeszir, I'm having issues with my bank and paypal. I'm trying to get it sorted, but we just started our training outside opening weekend. So I have been swamped and haven't go done yet. Will get it done as soon as I can.
  12. I see Reyes as more of a cubic zirconia. He looks legit on the outside/surface. But if you look a little deeper, his flaws start to become apparent.
  13. Wow he was able to get to the dish 600 times last year. Impressive. What did he do with those PA's? A whopping .321 OBP... .... No thanks. The Red Sox already have what Reyes can provide. He doesn't add a lot to this team besides salary.
  14. Do his professional numbers from the Japanese leagues not count? Even if they don't, he is a shoe in once he gets to 3,000 hits. Which he has a decent shot at if he plays for another 4-5 years.
  15. Ichiro gets forgotten regularly because he plays in Seattle. If he had played for a relevant franchise he would probably be at the top of everyone list. But yes, he is a sure fire HOF IMO.
  16. Number wise I think Agon might have the best chance at making it in. If Adrian Gonzalez averages 30HR per year for the next 10 years, he will be around 500 career HR. That would likely give him a good shot at getting in. Especially if he wins a couple Championships.
  17. Most of you probably didn't get to see Sheffield play 3B. He air mailed more balls into the front row than anyone I can remember watching Jose Canseco was the most brutal OF I ever watched.
  18. Yes I obviously am bored and exaggerated the point to absurdity. I thought of adding a waiver to the bottom saying I was joking and this was just for bored fun
  19. What?! lol I can just imagine that conversation. Cashman: Hey Bill, it's Cash. Bill: Hey Brian, how goes it Brah?(this is the lingo in Minny according to Emmz) Cashman: Not so good. That douche bag Lee went to the Phillies. Bill: Ya I figured you'd be calling after throwing the bank at Lee fell short. Cashman: Well to be honest I called Seattle first, but I never made it past the Z's secretary. Bill: I think they are called "Administrative assistants" now. Cashman: f*** her, I'm with the Yankees... Smith: Chill Brah. Cashman: I can't chill you *******! I have a 200M payroll and a s*** starting rotation. Pettitte is in Texas plucking chickens and I have already signed every retread there is. Bill: So what do you want from me? Cashman: I want Liriano you f***ing tool! Bill: Hahaha, but why would we want to trade our best SP to you? Cashman: Because I represent the Yankees. Bill: ... And? Cashman: Don't be a dick, resistance is futile. Bill: Whatevuh brah. What are you offering? Cashman: Ivan Nova and Ramiro Pena. Bill: ... Cashman: Oh and we will eat his entire salary. Bill: ... But he doesn't make a lot of $ Cashman: f*** you, we are the Yankees! Resistance is futile! Bill: Sorry Cash brah, but you can't pull your routine this time around. There is no financial barrel to bend me over this time. Cashman ...(sphincter tightening) Bill: Your gonna have to offer us 4 prospects, and we will start at Montero and Betances for the nucleus of the deal. Cashman: ...But we are the Yankees... And if Hank finds out I've got nothing he's going to go ape s***. Bill: lol, ape s***. "Hank storms into Cashman office and grabs the phone out of Cashmans hand" Bill: Cash brah, you ok? Hank: "incoherent ape type grunts and screams" Bill: WTF? Hank: Yankees! oo oo ahhhaaa! Cashman: I'm sorry Hank please calm down! Your hurting me... Bill: ...click...beep beep. Helen? Helen: Yes Mr. Smith? Bill: Ya, can you call NYPD again. Helen: Is it about Mr. Steinbrenner? Bill: Yes. He's gone ape s*** again and is beating the hell out of Cash and Cash just won't leave them. It's pretty sad. Helen: Should I call the battered GM's and see if they have room for him? Bill: Don't bother, you know he won't go. He never learns.
  20. They weren't superior last season. The Yankees finished 6 games ahead of the Sox AAAA team. That's nothing to brag about.
  21. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2011/baseball/mlb/02/28/boston-beckett.ap/index.html?eref=sihp Nice way for Beckett to start off the spring...
  22. 13th works for me. An earlier then 8pm start be nice since I'm 6 hours ahead. You could do it in the afternoon for all the American located guys and that would make it an evening draft for guys like me.
