  1. Dojji we are going to be able to make a table for you pretty soon to go along with Jacko's
  2. Are you white now? Nah that's a cool story. I knew there had to be some rational choice somewhere I'm the same way with Beckett. I got to see him pitch as he was coming up through the minors and have always followed him. You can imagine my excitement when he was traded to the Red Sox. Through thick and thin, I will always have a biased favoritism toward Beckett. I even named my dog after him lol
  3. Yes, Ham Fighter is way better. Even if it isn't correct lol
  4. Lester = Ace of the Pitching staff Agon = Anchor of the offense Pretty simple. edit: Think of it like this. How important where CC and Tex in 09 for the Yankees?
  5. You're taking the piss out of us right?
  6. 1 John Lester 2 Adrian Gonzalez 3 Kevin Youkilis 4 Dustin Pedroia 5 Clay Buchholz 6 Carl Crawford 7 Josh Beckett 8 David Ortiz 9 Jacoby Ellsbury 10 Daniel Bard 11 Jonathan Papelbon 12 John Lackey 13 Jed Lowrie 14 J.D. Drew 15 Daisuke Matsuzaka 16 Bobby Jenks 17 Jarrod Saltalamacchia 18 Mike Cameron 19 Marco Scutaro 20 Dan Wheeler 21 Jason Varitek 22 Tim Wakefield 23 Felix Doubront 24 Darnell McDonald 25 Scott Atchison
  7. Many of us had the same ordeal when the Sox and Twins where discussing Santana for Lester or Buchholz. You have to use some caution about how much you give up and for who. A couple of those SP are going to be needed going forward. More so if CC where to opt out and leave town. That be bottom of the barrel-ville for the Yanks. Trade away there better Pitching prospects only to watch CC leave town and be stuck back where the were minus a few top prospects. Who knows the Yankees may not want top make a big trade until they know for sure what CC is doing. He can say all he wants, but until he officially declines that opt out, the Yankees need to act with caution.
  8. There not signing anyone. Kalish is key for a couple reasons. He is a very good player for one and projects to be a solid ML. Plus his low cost will help offset the impending costs of AGon and Crawford. The Sox will need a couple players making minimal money here for the next few years. IMO that's Kalish and Iglesias.
  9. This is what this site is built on. That and giving Yankees fans more anxiety is always a good way to pass the time.
  10. Ya it's tough sometimes plaing Softball on Friday, then play Baseball on Sunday. It effected so much my first season, I started batting LH strictly in SB and RH in Baseball to keep from screwing up my swing. If your like me and grew up with baseball, adjusting your swing for SB is a pain in the ass. But I've managed it after a couple seasons and switch hit in both now depending on the situation and what I'm trying to do at the plate.
  11. Glad to see Lowell and Beltre in camp
  12. You have obviously never faced a good SB pitcher. If you face a guy that can rise and drop a FB at 85-90 MPH, a slider that moves from your hip to 2 feet outside at 80 MPH and a change up that comes in at a whopping 60 MPH and all that coming from a guy that is 36 feet away at the start of his wind up and about 30 feet when he delivers the ball. It's the hardest thing you'll ever have to hit. It's absolutely sick. I grew up playing baseball and got into softball when I moved here. SB is much harder hitting, and way faster in the field. SB gets a weak rap in America, because most of it is beer league level competition. Doesn't mean this kid is a sure thing to make it. Just SB worldwide is a much higher level competition then it is in the States and shouldn't be shrugged off.
  13. CC is trying to clean up and look fit for his new contract
  14. Dice-K would be done the following season. So that's another 10M.
  15. I more excited then a puppy with 2 peckers for truck day!
  16. You have to have all the same skills and tools for Fast pitch softball as you do baseball. If anything softball is a faster game overall and your reaction time needs to be quicker. a700, you shouldn't just discount him as a talent just because he is from New Zealand. Did you discount Jackie Robinson because there were no black players before him?
  17. The Yankees will be too busy trying to bring back CC to have any chance at Pujols
  18. Trade Youk, or let there be some kind of rotation at 3B/DH/1B for 2012 and not pick up Youks option after 2013 and Pujols becomes the everyday 3B. Theres also the possibility of picking up[ Youks options and having Albert him play LF at Fenway and DH on the road. I think they could get him. It would heavily depend on how Albert feels about changing positions and DHing. I'm not sure how likely it is though. LAA makes sense, but they never pony up for the right players. CHC and Washington seem like the most likely candidates.
