  1. Barnes was always a guy who came up small in big moments
  2. MRI today. Concern that he may have seriously damaged it (UCL tear).
  3. Severino went 4 innings, 48 pitches, perfect. He started what ended up being a combined no hitter. I'd assume next start he goes 60 pitches and thereafter might get promoted with a 75 pitch count if the need arises
  4. They treat pitchers like currency. They don't marry to anyone at all, so they can afford to give up on someone a year too early.
  5. Tampa keeps trading for good prospects mostly developed. Yarbrough, Glasnow, Patino were all products of trades
  6. Mayer is #1 all the way with lots of room
  7. Agree. Voit looked horrendous offensively. He came up in a couple big spots and just let them down. It happens. 3 of 4 was big
  8. A groin strain won’t add significant time to his return? That makes absolutely not sense at all
  9. This Ridings kid has amazing stuff. 96-101 with sink and a wipeout slider. How was this kid on the scrap heap?
  10. Gleyber Torres just hurt his wrist. Awesome!
  11. That's the curse of the soft tosser. When you're going bad and lose command, you get shelled. Guys with great stuff can luck into a good outing when their command falters
  12. I f***ing love this kid. He has gigantic brass balls
  13. When Sale was first injured, he wanted the rest and rehab approach. With the UCL, rest and rehab rarely works (Tanaka being one). Ultimately, the player has the right to delay or decline surgery.
  14. Schwarber ain't coming back anytime soon
  15. Not even close. That was an amazingly awful call
  16. He pulled his groin rehabbing per the EEI broadcast. No timetable on return
  17. Not very economical, but 3IP, 4 baserunners, 6K's and no runs is pretty solid again. Hopefully he can get through 2 more innings
  18. Gil gets screwed here and now cannot locate
  19. Yep, when it rains it pours
  20. Voit is back. Rizzo has covid and just went on the IL. WTF!
  21. I thought the Sox might regress to a .450 club going forward. Not a.200 club
  22. Cora got more out of this group than anyone. Eventually pumpkins become pumpkins.
  23. Team keeps surprising me
  24. For a guy who’s been in the league as long as Heaney and for a guy who’s been on a roll, he’s got terrible body language. Like he was totally fine being on a s***** team and now he’s uncomfortable being in a pennant race. Gallo and Rizzo look like they’ve been reborn. Heaney looks like he’s been bothered
  25. For a crafty lefty, he’s got horrible command
