  1. Yanks have been rolling even though they’ve blown a bunch of games they should have won. They’ve got a solid 1-2. Cortes is throwing well. Gil is promising. If we can get Kluber and German back, we should have enough to make some noise, we just need to punch our ticket to the dance
  2. Sevy now getting a shoulder MRI. Needless to say, he’s done. German has thrown a successful bullpen. Likely to mix in breaking balls soon and if all goes well, will go on a rehab assignment in 10 days or so. Kluber sucked balls in his rehab assignment debut but came away healthy. Cole returns tomorrow. JMont returns Tuesday. With those two back, the rotation is starting to setup nicely. Cortes has been a nice surprise for a guy who’s more crafty lefty than power arm and Gil has been electric in his two starts. If Kluber can return in September and be anything like why he was, that’d be huge. Sanchez will be activated for the Sox series. Rizzo is better, just going through the cardiac testing protocols as required. Could be activated soon. Urshela had a set back and return is tbd. Once Sanchez and Rizzo come back, I wonder if we will see Judge in CF with Stanton in LF and Gallo in RF for some games. As Voit has returned with a vengeance, it’s behoove the Yanks to put Rizzo at 1b and Voit at DH.
  3. It was mostly since Sale’s issues prior to the elbow were the shoulder and since Sevy was ahead of Sale in terms of surgical date.
  4. Boone is a dumbass. Britton hasn’t been himself. Guys who have bone chips removed always come back worse off until the following year.
  5. Two toddlers is a plus and a curse at the same time. Neuropathy sucks, hope it fades over time. Glad to see you back on the site!
  6. Blast from the past. How have you been?
  7. Nestor Cortes has been really solid as a 5 inning pitcher. Asking him to face the order for a third time is a bad idea, especially Salvy Perez who had already taken him deep. Cortes is a journeyman who’s found a tick on his FB, but he’s not a reliable arm. You take what you get from him and don’t push it
  8. Sox were not a well constructed team. They played way over their heads and now reality is crashing in as they get tired and the competition got better reinforcements
  9. NY is losing and collapsing as well, so we won’t gain ground without a late inning heroic
  10. Luck eventually runs out. We need our team back before we face the White Sox
  11. Have you looked at our IL? How can you say that's lucky?
  12. German is also restarting a throwing program and may not need a rehab assignment.
  13. Looks like Sevy will be back in the rotation next week. Kluber is going on a rehab assignment this week with Somerset. Cole should be back end of this week as should Montgomery.
  14. Right now there are no probables beyond Eovaldi. Very good chance Richards is also in the pen going forward
  15. Avatar is lucky now
  16. 35 post steroid era is similar. Listen, he rolls the dice and comes out posting what he did in 2020 across an injury plagued 2022 and he’ll be either an MiLB deal or a very low base with incentives deal kinda guy
  17. He’s one bad season away from getting a minor league deal at his age. So yeah, he could just take the higher AAV and roll the dice, but the smarter play at this stage is to maximize guaranteed money no matter the AAV
  18. I turned in at 1-1. Lol. They’ve got a fire again. Good to see
  19. No f***ing way Judge is out there. That is a blown replay call. Safe by a lot. WTF
  20. See when I saw JD's contract, I thought his final opt out was after year 3. I didn't know his deal was actually a 4 yr deal with a 5th year player option. If JD finishes this year with a similar OPS, he is declining his option. In the age of the dead baseball, a guy with a near .900OPS is gonna be worth a pretty penny. While I don't think he hits the AAV, he will likely get 3 yrs at $12-$15 mil a year.
  21. Last big contract. At his age, he can lost it at any time. You take the guaranteed money.
  22. Starting Catcher, 1b, SS, 3b and CF all on the IL. No wonder we can’t hit
  23. Houck can be called back up. He was the 27th man for the DHer, so that doesn’t adjust his clock at all. He’ll be at the ten day mark by the time he can start again and it’ll be in Boston
  24. He’s not wrong. Aging players who have rough second halves get creamed on the market.
