  1. Boone might let Heaney get demolished to save his pen
  2. It really is too bad Deivi entirely lost his mechanics.
  3. I’d rather start Koerner. Heaney cannot put people away
  4. The Yanks have a very deep farm with a few top talents. There are some farms that are very top heavy. The Yanks are more like a middle aged guy. Thick in the middle, little on top
  5. There’s next to no chance we win this one. Green, Britton, Luetge are unavailable, Chapman to the IL. Loaisiga only available for a save. Heaney on the hill in Yankee stadium
  6. Just popped up. Waiting on tests
  7. One thing we didn’t add was a reliever and with Chapman going down today, not sure if that won’t bite us
  8. They definitely gave up prospect capital, of course. But look at who they gave up. Smith SS- Peraza is ranked higher Duran and Hauver 2B- Volpe is ranked higher Alcantara OF- Dominguez is ranked higher Otto and Vizcaino RHP- Gil and many others ranked higher You can’t keep all the prospects, especially guys like Duran, Viz and Otto who would have been Rule V guys this offseason. I didn’t want the yanks to deal the top of their prospect pool and they didn’t. Cashman did a fine job
  9. Don’t let me sell people on the truth? None of the players dealt were the top prospects at the position in the system. Not a one
  10. There’s a bad spot then there’s this. The offense will recover eventually. The staff may not, especially if Sale is up and down as is expected post TJS
  11. I like you moon, but this isn’t you. This guy is an emotional Sox poster. I have been told I’m an emotional Yankee poster. Banning someone or rallying the group to avoid someone for emoting on a message board is poor form. If you don’t like him, block him and move on.
  12. And they’re not gonna start his service time clock either. They’ll wait til they can get an extra year
  13. Down to 2 in the L column. Might be tied after tomorrow
  14. Yeah, it is. That being said, the sox were predicted to be a 4th place team. They were way over their skis with a patchwork pitching staff and a bullpen that seriously overperformed. They rode a hot as hell section of their lineup to a big win total. Once Bogaerts hurt his wrist and Verdugo started to struggle, the lineup came down to 2 guys and JD slumped at the wrong time. Without the juggernaut offense, this sox team is a sham. Now they are tired and the wheels are all falling off. The sox farm is thin. Adding Mayer helps, but it is still pretty thin from the DD days. If he were to add a healthy bat, a good pen arm, and a strong starter, the sox would have literally undone everything Bloom is trying to build, and for what? A wild card berth? The sox needed 2021 to pass and have a healthy Sale, see what a healthy Houck can do and tick a year off so they can get some more money off the docket. My bet is the tantalizing 4 months escalates the timeline for the sox to strike this offseason. We shall see if they bite
  15. Bloom made the calculated decision that the 2021 Sox were not good enough to add to. He is being proven right
  16. very enjoyable game tonight. Frustrating offense, but clutch from Stanton. Extra baseball, still going
  17. Sox were limping into the deadline and when they got zero assistance, they stumbled
  18. Perez again? Didn’t he get demolished yesterday?
  19. What the f*** just happened? I just switched back from the Yanks. Wow
  20. They had one of the deepest pens of all time. Their starters went 4 innings and the final 5 was a wipeout
  21. It counted as a homer. He also had a couple doubles. He struggled initially, but he would be a huge boost. We are also seeing Giancarlo make contact again. He goes into these maddening slumps where he pulls off everything. Then he starts going to RF again and he gets red hot. Hopefully he can carry this hot streak the rest of the way, cause if he follows true to his form, he is gonna cool down considerably by September
  22. Casas isnt coming up until mid year next year. That is how it is done these days. Schwarber is a rental, plain and simple, and an injury prone one at that. He will also be out of position. I keep hearing about how he will be this massive upgrade, but he essentially will have missed almost 2 months of time by the time he is back in the sox lineup. Also, Schwarber is a streaky hitter who already had a ridiculous power surge in June. He may end up being cold Kyle for a bit which may not improve much
