  1. I’ve never understood batters who take a pitch down the middle to start an at bat
  2. Didn’t have the sound. JD is getting to the ball, but not with force. I know he studies his swing more than anyone, but he’s got an issue with his swing
  3. Yanks haven’t been losing this series, so, yeah, there’s that
  4. He’ll be fine this inning. But that’s gonna swell. That was a solid hit
  5. Facing Winckowski, Seabold and Crawford isn’t exactly ideal for the Sox, but I’ll take it. After some runs in the first half, literally nobody seems to want the top WC spot. FYI, anyone actually look at what the WC games are. I thought it’d be two single elimination games, WC2 v WC3 then winner v WC1. I’m totally wrong. Here’s the format Worst division winner v WC3 WC2 v WC1 3 game series each. Wow Sox might be benefited by being a WC3, fyi. Would you rather face TB or Toronto as a WC1 or WC2 or would you rather line up with the soft Twins
  6. Not a good matchup here for the Yanks
  7. Cortes is usually way more precise. He can’t keep the ball out of the middle of the plate. Sox not out of this one yet
  8. I’m wondering if it’s an ulnar nerve injury the way he’s pointing
  9. Fastball above the belt for a K. Calling it now
  10. Sox brass knew this kid was gonna get lit up. Yanks are right hand dominant, even more so with Rizzo out. So a right hand dominant team facing a righty needs to watch out for the breaking ball moving away. Seabold doesn’t have it right now and it’s not known to be a great pitch. Hence, right now he’s fastball change, which will work against lefties but will get smushed vs righties. Unless he finds his slider’s release point, he’ll be down 6 or 7 by the end of 3
  11. He’s got a meat fastball, a reasonably good change and a slider with zero bite.
  12. Righties need their sliders vs the Yanks or they’re gonna get crushed. This kid’s slider is meat right now
  13. Don’t want to be called a fair weather guy. I’m watching this one
  14. Interestingly, corner OF is the only weakness this team has. My bet is it will be filled with David Peralta. I think the price for Beni will be too high
  15. He got a lot of above the belt high octane and he couldn’t even foul it off
  16. I don’t get it. Yea, they had an open base but it was in scoring position. You had a meeting on the mound before you faced him. Why the f*** did you throw him anything hit table??!!? JD looks clueless up there. Walk the bomber and go after the old man
  17. Winck needs to control his emotions and remember to forget. Once those two bombs were hit, he lost his composure and his command. He’s lucky he didn’t get shellacked further
  18. That was way low! Not even close to the zone
  19. There was a guy I faced in high school. We were the same year. We both were all state senior year. He dominated everyone but me. For some reason, I wore this guy out like no other. Something about release point. Didn’t matter what he threw, I just wore him out. Devers is in that zone with Cole. There’s no point in throwing his strikes. Just walk him
  20. Cole needs to just walk him every time now
