  1. He actually allowed a ton of hard contact, it just went into gloves. But they didn’t work the guy at all. 84 pitches in 8 innings?? Cmon now. He almost Maddux’d them
  2. We drive in 16 runs in 14 innings to start the series. We drive in zero runs the next 15 innings (last nights runs scored on a wild pitch). What the f*** happened?
  3. Infected tattoo claims Chapman. I’ve now seen it all
  4. McGuire has always had good hands behind the plate, able to jerk back any balls that go awry. His strong hands lead to an impeccable finish as he releases towards the bags. But this year, his grip on the shaft of the bat has led to his best offensive stats that you can come by. You can only hope his progress doesn’t arrest as he’s parking himself in your lineup on a regular basis…. In all honesty, McGuire has always been a good defender who’s been predicted to have offensive promise yet minimal power. Maybe he’s ready to deliver on it
  5. Yanks bats exploded. Stanton returns and immediately produces. Beni has caught fire. I like this run, gotta keep it up
  6. 4-6 weeks but then he'd have to build up again
  7. He can't regret his moves from 3 weeks back. It would cause him to get killed even more. But his moves (or lack thereof) are indefensible IMO. You either sell or you add. You dont take a team that's out of the POs and sinking fast and stall. You either reinforce or take apart, especially with so many rentals
  8. Paxton is always hurt. Always. Sale is always hurt as well Wacha is not going for the QO. He will get a bigger offer than you think from a team craving pitching. It might be in Boston, but I doubt it's on the QO Whitlock is not a starter. Don't treat him as one. He's an elite level reliever. He's a terrible starter
  9. Weissert is nasty. Hopefully this is just a mild strain. He’s been our best pitcher.
  10. And Blooms unwillingness to move Eovaldi is almost criminal. Eo went from a guy who could have brought back a good piece to a guy who might not even get a QO
  11. You hit the nail on the head. Criticism is valid. Staying in between going for it and rebuilding only kicks the can down the road and usually guarantees mediocrity
  12. Paxton tore his lat and is out for the year he’ll likely opt into his option for next year at $4mil
  13. His slider wasn't consistent and that is his out pitch. Boone should have recognized that
  14. 3 straight great starts, some timely hitting and some much needed exhalation for the Yanks. Day off and heading to jOakland, the worst team in the AL and we get Stanton back. Stanton was sorely missed, even if he’s not a world beater this year. He extends the lineup and should pay dividends for the 6-9 spots in the lineup. Montas looked like Montas last night. Schmidt was impressive in that he didn’t have his best stuff and avoided runs, but Boone really left him out there too long. We also may be getting Britton back soon and Bader is now performing baseball activities. Update on Carpenter is problematic in that he’s still non weight bearing. We’ve likely seen the last of him this year. In other news, Michael King isn’t out of the woods yet. His injury is a potential career altering injury. He’s had TJS and the bone broke. They said that they’re “not sure” he needs TJS yet. That tells me he probably does, but you can’t do TJS on a broken arm. So he needs 12 weeks and then they can potentially fix the ligament. Also, a fracture there without true trauma is ominous. Jarrod Parker had this issue. Multiple TJS’s and then the bone broke ending his promising career. Here’s to hoping he can get back to it, but I have my doubts
  15. f***ing stupid managing. Schmidt was dancing around the fact that he didn’t have a put away pitch and instead he waits til the f***ing winning run is on base to pull him. He’s such a moron
  16. Why is he still in the game!!!!
  17. Boone cannot let Schmidt pitch here
  18. Cole is still an ace. Montas looked good today. I think you forget how good Sevy was before he got hurt. Taillon has been struggling, but he’s prone to go on runs. German has been really good since the trade. Cortes has arguably been our best pitcher. Schmidt has the highest ceiling of any of the guys we dealt or have in the minors.
  19. He is, no doubt. So is Sears with Oakland. If Montas turns out to be another Sonny Gray, then this will be a huge problem But right now we have starting pitching in spades. Cole, Cortes, Montas, Taillon, and German right now. Sevy in the wings and Schmidt just called up. And right now our lineup needs the most help. With Aaron Hicks literally looking like he should retire and Marwin Gonzalez being pressed into regular OF duty, Bader is going to be sorely needed. That defense will be stellar. Judge in RF, Beni in LF and Bader in CF? Yikes. And we need his bat, even if he’s in the midst of a down season.
  20. Yanks bats are waking up. Would love to see how Bader’s addition helps since it’s clear the yanks are done with Hicks and are using Marwin as a regular. Yikes
  21. It’s what we did early in the year. Clutch hitting when we needed it the most. We are better than this but maybe not as good as we were for 4 months. Scherzer and Degrom coming up, so not out of the woods yet
  22. f*** you Boone. We have a lead late for the first time in a long time and you go with the struggling Loaisiga who promptly puts two guys on then he goes to the reliable Peralta. f*** you
  23. More than 1 run?? Both should have been unearned
