He is a soft tossing, homer prone guy who’ll give you a mid to high 4ERA in Fenway and get shitstomped by the Yanks Sale has the highest upside but gets hurt when the wind blows Bello will be your ace at year end if he stays healthy. Big innings jump last year in a high velo pitcher makes you concerned for injury Paxton is the definition of getting paid a fortune to do nothing. He’s never healthy. Ever. If he takes the mound as a Red Sox, then that’s a win for you. In any capacity. Ever Pivetta is Kluber with far worse command and a better fastball Whitlock is hittable as a starter. His arsenal is deep enough, not sure why it doesn’t translate. IMO, Whitlock will be in your pen next year after flaming out in the rotation to start 2023 Houck will be your setup man

    We got two semi decent prospects. One with a good eye and speed and another with an electric arm. Luetge was really good, though, so this sounds like a waste of a good pen arm. So be it Yanks still in need of a LFer. I’m sick of having to deal for known problems that could have been fixed over the winter. Conforto would have been a great choice.

    I said it from the beginning last year. I knew your team was trash and said my biggest fear was Bloom being able to trade off assets as it would hasten your retooling. I was tickled pink when he didn’t.

They strongly f***ed up the deadline and instead of getting a top prospect, they’re getting 4th rounders

    German is way too homer prone to be back end of pen. Holmes earned the job for now. I like our staff. I think Kahnle adds what we lose with Green. We have depth, lefties, righties, here, finesse. I just want to see us upgrade in LF. I guess they’re counting on DJ to start at 3b. But starting Hicks in any capacity for outset of the year is a fools errand

    They’re actually tearing down. The worst thing for the Sox rebuild was 2021. It prevented them from doing what they needed. This year is gonna be bad for the Sox barring some unforeseen miracle.

    Hosmer is washed up. His back is f***ed and it played out in his awful D and lost bat. You don’t rebuild with a 30+ 1b who’s washed up. I agree with the move
