  1. You’re f***ing delusional.
  2. Mookie Betts is heading for first ballot HOF. That’s the dumbest statement ever
  3. How are the Red Sox looking?
  4. Good under the radar MiLB deal today. Willie Calhoun, former top prospect who’s had some badluck, bad attitude and some poor performance of late is the latest Cash minor league deal that could provide some fruit. Lefties do well in YS and he just so happens to play the one position we need. It’s a lottery ticket, but this one I don’t mind having
  5. Guys, this rotation blows and you know it. Kluber is a 4-5. He is a soft tossing, homer prone guy who’ll give you a mid to high 4ERA in Fenway and get shitstomped by the Yanks Sale has the highest upside but gets hurt when the wind blows Bello will be your ace at year end if he stays healthy. Big innings jump last year in a high velo pitcher makes you concerned for injury Paxton is the definition of getting paid a fortune to do nothing. He’s never healthy. Ever. If he takes the mound as a Red Sox, then that’s a win for you. In any capacity. Ever Pivetta is Kluber with far worse command and a better fastball Whitlock is hittable as a starter. His arsenal is deep enough, not sure why it doesn’t translate. IMO, Whitlock will be in your pen next year after flaming out in the rotation to start 2023 Houck will be your setup man
  6. We got two semi decent prospects. One with a good eye and speed and another with an electric arm. Luetge was really good, though, so this sounds like a waste of a good pen arm. So be it Yanks still in need of a LFer. I’m sick of having to deal for known problems that could have been fixed over the winter. Conforto would have been a great choice.
  7. I said it from the beginning last year. I knew your team was trash and said my biggest fear was Bloom being able to trade off assets as it would hasten your retooling. I was tickled pink when he didn’t.
  8. How was that the right move? You had a generational talent hitting Fa You knew you weren’t going for it Your team was sliding hard going into the deadline Your team couldn’t beat their own division It was clearly time to sell or make enormous additions and they did neither. They strongly f***ed up the deadline and instead of getting a top prospect, they’re getting 4th rounders
  9. This makes all the sense in the world. One year deal, club control of you want it for year two. This will be a pump and dump signing at the deadline with him bringing back some prospects. Classic rebuild move
  10. If there’s ever been a truer indication of a rebuild, this was it
  11. Whitlock is a better rotation candidate, but needs to prove health But I’m actually shocked on Eovaldi. With all the money flowing, he essentially signed a 2 yr extension, which nowadays doesn’t look that bad
  12. Houck is not a great rotation candidate. He’s got two wipeout pitches, but he gets abused second and third time through. He has not shown the capability or the arsenal to start
  13. Hey teddy, go f*** yourself https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2022/12/red-soxs-chris-sale-drawing-trade-interest.html
  14. Sale is at his lowest value. You don’t deal him now. But Bloom seems to be a special kind of stupid, so look for a discount
  15. If the Sox eat $40mil over the next two years, I’d be willing to deal off a nothing prospect to take him off your hands. His upside is worth the $5-$10mil. But at $29 mil per annum, he isn’t worth it
  16. This was all over boston media. Who f***ing wants this guy at his price? Yes, he’s healthy, for now. If he coughs or goes to get a sandwich, he will be out for the year! Sox are better served dealing at the deadline if he stays healthy
  17. It’s pretty clear the Sox are embracing a rebuild.
  18. Yanks designated Luetge, who only pitched to a sub 3 ERA over the past 2 years. WTF?
  19. Moon, there’s a 1% chance that happens and you know it
  20. I know Turner could be a 1b or DH. But this smells of a Devers deal
  21. The problem we run into is having to overpay at the deadline for holes we had on opening day. Fix the holes for opening day and you don’t need to pick a front of the rotation starter, a starting outfielder and a closer
  22. Same guy who called the Rodon signing says Yanks are in deep negotiations to get Bednar and Reynolds with NY. Price is apparently very steep
  23. German is way too homer prone to be back end of pen. Holmes earned the job for now. I like our staff. I think Kahnle adds what we lose with Green. We have depth, lefties, righties, here, finesse. I just want to see us upgrade in LF. I guess they’re counting on DJ to start at 3b. But starting Hicks in any capacity for outset of the year is a fools errand
  24. They’re actually tearing down. The worst thing for the Sox rebuild was 2021. It prevented them from doing what they needed. This year is gonna be bad for the Sox barring some unforeseen miracle.
  25. Hosmer is washed up. His back is f***ed and it played out in his awful D and lost bat. You don’t rebuild with a 30+ 1b who’s washed up. I agree with the move
