  1. And if you have a 1.25WHIP on average, he will end up being pulled a batter into the 5th inning on average
  2. Reminds me a lot of Schmidt.
  3. Brito was electric. Good command, mix, movement. Really had the Giants flailing. This kid has the goods!
  4. He had a guy warming in the 3rd inning. Schmidt was already over 60 pitches when he gave up the HR to Joc. Boone's issue is he has a pretty good idea of when a pitcher is cooked. He just gets greedy and tries to get "one more out". It's April. This kid is not has not been a starter for 2 years now. He got above 60 pitches and was clearly running out of gas. Forget the outcome of the game. If his goal is to keep this kid's confidence and ensure he isn't going to break down, you pull him when he starts to show signs of fatigue. Maybe next turn through the rotation the kid gets tired at 70 or 80 pitches. Whatevever. But he clearly lost something in the 3rd inning, Boone saw it enough to get the pen warm. He just didn't act on it when he came out in the 4th and had nothing
  5. They’re awesome! Peaking at the right time! I’m from CT. This is awesome
  6. That's the thing. I don't think he has options now that he is up with the club.
  7. The Sox can still smash
  8. And Boone strikes again. Schmidt's first start. Kid was doing ok, but ran up a high pitch count. HR, double, HR. You cannot leave these kids out there early on. Stupid
  9. This Orioles rotation is a disaster
  10. Wow, Mullins lefty on lefty takes him deep
  11. Just got back from a bike ride. What happened?
  12. That's what they are doing. He's on the shelf with a "shoulder strain". Kid will get rehabbed, spend the entire 30 days in the minors, come up and then go back on the shelf. This will be more a development year than anything else and he gets to collect a big league paycheck
  13. I am sorry, the sox team doesn't hunt. You do not let a generational talent walk and replace him with nobody. You do not let a durable generational talent walk while your internal replacement holds an IL reservation on the yearly. You build a suspect, injury prone rotation and back it up with a terrible, washed up pen. This team is so poorly constructed it makes me wonder if Bloom is actively tanking to await the Yanks pulling back a bit
  14. slav, did you just admit that there was a cliff without saying there was a cliff? All the years of you guys giving me s*** and validation feels very good
  15. It's better than that. They discarded Florial for discarded RS trash Franchy Cordero. Then, instead of giving one of their high upside arms a shot at the beginning of the year, they go with Brewer. Although the Brewer move is mostly placeholder status. He will get DFAd when one pitcher comes back, be it Rodon, Trivino, Kahnle or Sevy
  16. Also, I don't see the allure of Kluber and have zero f***ing idea why Kluber was the OD starter. Kluber is elderly in terms of a pitcher. Not just in age but in stuff. He cannot break 90 anymore. Plus, he absolutely imploded in the back half of the season last year. Era first half, mid 3's, ERA back half over 5. This was a stupid signing
  17. You won't have the luxury of facing the Orioles god awful pitching every game. Gibson as opening day starter is embarrassing for them. Sox pitching is gonna hold them back. Hitting will take a step back without Xander.
  18. Will today be the final day the Sox are at .500?
  19. The cat dragged in the Sox team as well. All mangled and covered in hair and s***
  20. So that Kluber opening day bid went well I see
  21. 5-0 shutout, though. Nice start!
  22. Great to see the Yanks winning, but it is more of the same s***. 2HRs, 2 singles, 12K against a guy who doesn't strike people out.
  23. Post your prediction below. I am gonna go with 95 wins. They will win the AL East again.
