    This is just the fifth time in Yankee history that the team won their first four series to open the season. They did so against two returning playoff teams and one team a year removed from winning 107 games while being down their starting CFer and 3/5 their starting rotation.

    They played Baltimore, Pittsburgh and Detroit prior to getting shut down by the Rays. Not exactly bastions of pitching dominance. Using their run/game ranking at this point is the ultimate in skewed SSS. It’s gonna come down

    Duvall was meant to occupy a big part of the lineup. He’s likely not going to be the same for 23. That’s a massive hole that your depth can’t fix

    2 of his HRs were outside of NY. Just sayin... Franchy has had light tower power forever. His issue is chase rate. Thus far, he has avoided chasing to some extent. I am sure pitchers will figure it out and start to throw pitches just off the plate going forward. It will be up to him to adjust. The one benefit he will have in NY is this lineup is deep and he will be hitting near the bottom of it. He also will avoid lefties in any big spots or in any starts. They'll put him in a good position to succeed and if he fails, he will be cut

    Duvall broke his wrist. Its a tough injury to recover from quickly. If he does not need surgery, cast for 6-8 weeks then rehab. My bet is it'll be a 10-12 week injury for recovery, but it might take til the very end of the season to see him back to his peak performance

    Cortes looked good. Got painted by Abreu, but so be it. Judge and Stanton are locked in for the early going. Head to Cleveland tomorrow for a 4 gamer

    Brito might be hard to remove from the rotation. Kid has been nails two starts in a row. The Giants cannot hit, but the Orioles definitely can and he made them look bad.

    Rodon and Sevy are throwing. Rodon to throw live BP today. Will progress from there to a rehab assignment if it goes well. They need to get him up to 80 pitches before he can come to the Bronx. Likely 3 rehab starts and he’ll be ready. So maybe 25 days before we see him start. Sevy is a bit behind him. If all goes well, reinforcements will hit for May. And right now, Brito looks to be the leader for the 5 spot

    Franchy is hitting, lol Also, stop starting Schmidt. The guy is a reliever. He’s a damn good one. He’s been tried out. It hasn’t worked. Slide him into a pen slot and leave him alone

    Torres is having a hell of a start. Making good contact, limiting K's, walking a ton and stolen 5 bases in 6 games. Maybe this is his breakout season

    Impressed with Volpe. Did make a dumb error and is only 2 for 9. But the 2 walks drives up his OBP to .364 and he’s stolen 3 bases in 3 games. If he can be a good SS, steal a f*** ton of bases and gets on base over 35% of the time, he’ll be immensely valuable while his power game comes
