    If they're going to make a run at AI they better sign Pierce to an extension, or at least make sure he's here for a couple more years. This kind of team cannot and will not be successful if it is just AI and a bunch of kids. Don't get me wrong, having a core of Pierce and Iverson would be EXCELLENT. They need to keep that core, if it even happens, together for a few years, not just 1 year. They could make a serious playoff push if they trade, say, Gerald Green and Al Jefferson and someone else for AI and have a quality supporting cast for the two big guns. Also, the Celtics recently signed guard Allan Ray, flipside of Ray Allen, as an undrafted FA.

    f***ing ridiculous, Pierzynski just won the final vote because he's so f***ing popular. I hate this douche. He gets punched by Barrett, and gets all in a fuss about it, makes a voting campaign T-Shirt, "Punch A.J." and just gets the votes because of the punch and the ALCS s***. There were at least 3 players more deserving in Liriano, Hafner and Verlander. Pure ********. This is why fans should not vote. It's a f***ing popularity contest.

    I doubt he would if Wake is in stretch. The big thing with Johnson was the looooooooooooooooooooong time he took to deliver it, I don't think 25 MPH would make a difference if the windup is so much faster.

    Bad hip, forced him to miss Monday's start, apparenty it's bad enough for him to miss a few more. Pedro placed on the 15 day DL.
