  1. uh oh. Beckett for Iguchi, Lopez for Thome, Hansen on.
  2. McCarver: When you're gonna hit something that hard, use your non-pitching hand. Yeah, thanks Timmy.
  3. I stand corrected. In comes Garland.
  4. That's a regular throw day? In a bullpen session, not a game, right?
  5. I really doubt Garland pitching from the bullpen on 2 day's rest.
  6. Good inning, surprised there wasn't a player named Washington...meanwhile...the game is going on!
  7. But actually, Buck is right on the fact that it isn't good to overthrow in pressure spots, but you can't complain with the results, Beckett has been pretty good in jams without looking at the stats.
  8. Buck just called Beckett a thrower? DOUBLE PLAY!
  9. Did Buck really need to say Loretta plays for Boston?
  10. Atta boy Youk. Let's hold 'em next inning please.
  11. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you're saying you would rather have Kyle Snyder?
  12. Hernandez eats a s*** load of innings. This is a pretty good game right here. We strike, they strike. I'm getting pissed.
  13. I love how McCarver gives all the credit in the world to Podsednik on scoring on a wild pitch, but Cora's first inning back to the ball pop up catch is routine.
  14. Those are weaker lineups than Washington, they're AAA lineups. He has never had good success in the majors.
  15. I don't think Snyder is the answer either. He faced a weak Washington team and allowed 3 runs in 5 innings, which is just less than a 6 ERA. I think there is no chance Theo does not go out and acquire a pitcher, especially with the recent developing Wakefield issue.
  16. All right, then who do you suggest? Tough it out with Jason Johnson?
  17. I would like Hernandez. He isn't a stud, but he eats innings.
  18. Oh yeah. Whoops. I still don't think we need the least. We need a #5 starter and possibly bullpen help. The White Sox are not really in need of anything as much.
  19. But saying they need the least? I would say the Yankees need more than us. The Mets need starting pitching too.
  20. Yeah, I'm not saying you can't make an argument for it, but over the past few years, Ichiro and Vlad have been pretty damn productive too. Arguably, Dye is the best right fielder this season.
  21. Your use of smilies is poor. I am angry at you.
  22. Dye is not the most productive right fielder in the game today. McCarver, a "color" commentator, basically just says "wow" the whole time. The Manny issue is retarded, he is playing in these games because THEY MATTER. It's an exhibition game, maybe he wants to rest his knee. They also just said the Red Sox do not need anything at the deadline, and would be shocked if they made a major move. Affffffffter 2, 1-0 ChiSox.
  23. Joe Buck makes that play seem routine...and then McCarver bashes Cora for not being Gonzalez. Cora is just a bit of a lesser defensive player than Gonzo
