  1. We should get ourselves back on track here. The knuckleball is a thing many of the kids haven't seen, and Brian Moehler is not a very good pitcher at all. Also, Papi is back in the lineup, and so is Nixon, although Youk or Lowell will sit. Let's win.
  2. At least Pauley in NY gave the mojo a chance, Johnson just f***ed it up.
  3. Crap. In the 9th, get 2 on and 1 out, then pinch hit Papi for the pitcher, never know...
  4. Nice ovation for Lowell. Next inning it's Gonzalez's turn!
  5. What's the rule with waiver wire salaries? Do we have to pay all of it? If so, Snyder>Weaver
  6. Might be worth a try, but he'll likely crumble in the big spot, as he did in NY. But he's definitely better than this vendor we sent out.
  7. He's gotta be done, but then we use like 6 pitchers. This is gonna sure be fun.
  8. Wow! So is Jason Johnson: 2/3 inning, 3 hits, 1 BB, 1 HBP, 3 R, 1 K
  9. I thought Julian Tavarez was going to be a servicable setup man. Whoops.
  10. Wow, just looked at the petition to ban manny4prez, that is some classic stuff.
  11. Looking at the Marlins lineup, it really isn't that bad. Hanley is having a good year, and is a spark from the leadoff spot. Uggla is back, and he is a good 2nd baseman, he hits 2nd. Jacobs and Cabrera are quality run producers, and Willingham and Hermida are decent. Olivo, Kevin Millar's idol, and Abercrombie, and low quality 7-8 hitters. We are at the disadvantage of only using 2 out of Papi, Lowell and Youk for each game. I assume each will play twice, as usual in NL games. Let's win.
  12. second to fourth?
  13. Cano I believe will either be in the tail end of his DL stint of just off it. If I were him, I wouldn't play in the ASG, gives him more recovery time. But if he wants to, go ahead, get hurt.
  14. Absolutely he should not play. He gets 3 straight days off, and if he is sore, he needs it.
  15. I agree. I was at this game last night, and before the game, at about 5:30, where you can usually get decent positioning for autographs and stuff, you couldn't get in the first 5 rows, it was all Mets fans. It was definitely the most opposing fans I have ever seen, including Yankees. Also, my favorite fan moment was the Yankees Suck chant. After back and forth chants of lets go red sox and lets go mets, we could all agree on this one.
  16. In all the previous years, there were no lyrics on the jumbotron, they played it, we sung it. They've taken all the joy and quirkiness out of it. It's like singing "Take Me Out To The Ballgame," it's basically forced.
  17. Gotta take the lyrics off the board, making me crazy. It makes it feel like it is a forced thing, but the beauty of it was that we choose to do it. It's annoying.
  18. I'm sure he would have given up 30 mil to be traded to the Yankees if they were Texas' original trade partner, not Boston. He just wanted to win.
  19. It is very unlikely the Sox get Zito. As earlier stated, why would Oakland, who does have a history of trading contract players, trade Zito when they're in the middle of a pennant race?
  20. This is an impressive run this team is pulling off...11 straight, make it 12 tomorrow, I'll be there.
