I would give any amount of money to this guy. Good pitching is worth anything and its hard to come by. If it means not picking up Mannys option so be it, hes worth it.

You have Youk and Millar a wash? I don't think so Youk is 20 times better then Millar was in 04. Millar was great for the clubhouse but defensivley he was terrible and never really impressed me at the dish. The bullpen in 04 was the reason why we won, thats unquestionable it will be near impossible for 07 to match that.

What do you think it would take to get Cordero? They need him or anyone but the guys we have desperetely.

Hes 23 get real, he has a load of talent and has plenty of time to mature as a big legure pitcher. He'll be fine, if the Sox give up on him it be huge mistake to do so so fast.

Jackson I see where you are coming from, but if the deal doesnt get done both the Red Sox and Boras will look bad. Matsuzakas number one priority right now is to play in the majors not money, if Boras cant get that done he has failed. Yes the Red Sox Front office will look bad to but so will Boras to all of Japan.

I am optomistic about this jsut because of how bad Matsuzaka wants to come here. Look compare it to Clint Dempsey the American soccer player now playing in the MLS. He doesnt care how much he makes if he goes to Europe he just wants to go play with the best in the world. He has stated that money is not an issue. Ok Matsuzaka is a differenent person but he sounds like he just wants to get into the Majors not matter what. When the English Premier League offered a transfer fee for Dempsey and the MLS rejected it Dempsey was pissed calling out the league and has stated that he will not sighn back with New England no matter what. Those of you who follow soccer know how bad this made the MLS look. The MLS is like Boras here, if Boras f***s this up no Japanese player will ever higher him again. Just like how American and Latin players are starting to avoid the MLS and going straight to Europe. The deal is all on Matsuzaka if he really wants to come here he will. No matter what he makes here it will be better then the $3 mill hes making in Japan too.

Yea they would defently have to do that. I'd hate to see Manny go matter what because of the huge decrease in Ortizs number you would see but if Peavy is in the deal you have to do it. The kid is a major league ace. Our pitching staff would be disgusting. I'd like too see them to trade for Jones but it doesnt look like that is going to happen with them so close with Drew. I rather see Manny stay but if Peavy is in it you have to consider. BTW yea Manny probably should have played out the rest of the season but he was the only one who showed up for the only meaningfull season all year. . .you all know what im talking about.

Now hes done for 8 months. I've said a million times this is why we didnt give him 4 years. I love Pedro but you had to see this coming. When he comes back sometime next season I hope he dominates but I seriousely doubt it. He old and fragile, Theo made the right move not giving him 4 years. This year would have been ugly too in the AL.

I never wanted Abrue but this is what im thinking now. With Beckette pitching better, schilling being well schilling and wells pitching very well, abreu could have helped the offence and kept us in the race untill wakefeild and crew get back. I defently wouldnt have wanted him next year but I think this year he may have been worth it, if we didnt have to give up lester, hasnen or perodia.
