  1. Once he starts rehab I believe its either 20 days or 20 games before he has to be activated.
  2. He gets shutdown for the rest of the minor league season and then go to the instructional league. There is no reason for Bard is even pitch this year after his workload all the way through the CWS.
  3. After seeing what an AL offense did to him last night I can bet you that would have happened more often than not if he said in the AL because frankly his stuff is not that good anymore. He is not the old Pedro and Pedro made the right move going to the NL to extend his career and to pad his stats further.
  4. It would be if the cost is ridiculous and when dealing with schurholtz it usually is. I don't believe the Braves are trading him anyways when they have a reasonably priced option of 8 million for next year on him.
  5. They will sign him.....No way he goes back to UNC when he has Massachusetts roots and grew up a Red Sox fan. Even if they sign him they might just shut him down for this year to let him rest.
  6. I will be in shock if they trade Hughes for a rental player
  7. Alvarez is on the Brewster Whitecaps as is Laporta who was just recently assigned to Brewster as well.
  8. Laporta and Pedro Alvarez are some of the name guys taking part in the Cape League this year.
  9. I wasn't even watching the postgame show but if that's what they said then I agree with them.
  10. RSR Mojo continues and folks this just shows you how bad the NL is and why guys like Arroyo are doing so well over there. The competition sucks. This is also one of the reasons why Pedro made the smart move to go to the NL. Because not only can the Red Sox hit like this but a bunch of AL teams are just as good of hitting teams. Pedro is not the same pitcher he once was. We got the best years out of Pedro but his stuff was very mediocre tonight.
  11. beckett is dealing right now
  12. left field is not that hard at fenway if the ball doesn't go off the wall.
  13. sac fly by nixon.....1-0 sox
  14. I heard some of the boos as well...I think the cheer last night was better.
  15. easy first inning for beckett.....7 pitches
  16. are you serious
  17. braves bullpen sucks....if that was any other pen that was good they would have closed the door on NY
  18. don't understand this right now before the draft....maybe I would do it when the pick came up if they didn't like what they saw.
  19. From Boston.com It's pretty misty and ridiculously humid here at Fenway Park. Good news, though, they just took the tarp off the field. Here is tonight's Red Sox lineup: 1. Kevin Youkilis, 1B 2. Mark Loretta, 2B 3. David Ortiz, DH 4. Manny Ramirez, LF 5. Trot Nixon, RF 6. Jason Varitek, C 7. Mike Lowell, 3B 8. Coco Crisp, CF 9. Alex Gonzalez, SS -Josh Beckett P
  20. all guns are different....they have like 3 different guns if there are multiple networks covering the game.
  21. Get well soon Peter
