It’s like my Dad used to say when we asked for anything, “we don’t have the money”. Apparently. The billionaires who own the Red Sox are as poor as my Dad.

I think MVP was tongue in cheek, but Notin thinks he was doing accurate fact checking. Just my opinion.

Schwarber in LF. First Base is not going to happen.

it looks like Sale’s game was merely a pause after the hapless Rangers spanked us 10-1 at Fenway on Sunday night.

This let out whatever air remained in my hope balloon. Thoroughly deflating game.

    This is getting ugly.

ERod threw his glove at the bench when he got to the dugout. It was the best pitch that he threw all game.
  8. a700hitter
And this is how you lose to a crappy team. ERod was awful and getting solid starts from him is a necessity.

And they look like the keystone cops on that ball hit by a Holt. And he end# up on Third Base.

Is Ford worth a look as a platoon piece with Dalbec? https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2021/08/rays-designate-mike-ford-for-assignment.html

    A other bonehead baserunning play

It took JD a long time to get to home plate.

Was tonight the night the death spiral stops or was it just a temporary pause.

    Ferguson Jenkins

It is looking like Schwarber at 1B has not worked out. TV guys are saying that we may see him in the OF this weekend. We will get to continue seeing Dalbec man that corner. Hurray.

I have heard stories where hitters lose sight of the ball for part of the path of the pitch.

Maybe he has some inside information that Bloom has found a replacement for Pivetta.
  18. a700hitter
The kid from the Bronx Velasquez beat the Red Sox tonight at bat and with the glove.

Where has this Garret Richards been all season?
  20. a700hitter
    Thank you.

Maybe I have COVID, because I can’t smell anything.

Enjoy Acapulco. The game is not enjoyable.
  23. a700hitter
Pivetta also walked 3 batters that inning, but we will blame Vazquez for those. He has a career 5 ERA. There must be a lot of blame to go around.
  24. a700hitter
Bloom threw in the towel at the Trading Deadline. Hope is fading fast. This is a death spiral.
  25. a700hitter
He’s a 5 ERA career pitcher. This is what that looks like.
