  1. And this debate will exist long after we are all dead, but we will still be right.
  2. I know I shouldn’t laugh at this, but it is funny. I wish you the best though with the neuropathy. Hopefully, it isn’t permanent.
  3. over that swinging on 3-0 stuff? Isn’t it possible that he just came back to earth. BTW, I can’t stand LaRussa. He really believes that he is a genius and I am glad that the 3 hitter minimum rule was instituted to keep him from dragging out the last 3 innings for 2 hours.
  4. https://www.talksox.com/forum/threads/19906-2020-2021-Offseason-Thread?p=1374214&viewfull=1#post1374214 The joke in this post aged well.
  5. He could have spent prospects. The Yankees took on zero salary.
  6. I’ll not take anyone’s word, including Bloom’s, that reinforcing the team was cost prohibitive. It was the most active Trading Deadline in memory. He could have done something.
  7. Is this really you? Please provide proof that your account hasn’t been hacked.
  8. For TalkSox members, I have taken the liberty of correcting your post
  9. When your team exceeds expectations and finds itself in first place after 100 games, management owes it to that team and the fans to get some reinforcements to give that team a chance. To sit and watch multiple deals by each of the 3 teams chasing us and to do nothing is just unacceptable.
  10. The error by Renfroe? That added one run. So we would have lost by 3 instead of 4. This was all on Barnes. And Whitlock.
  11. i was very surprised that Bloom extended Barnes. It just seemed out of character.
  12. The death spiral continues. Wearing black during games would be appropriate.
  13. Going down the stretch with Franchy in the lineup doesn’t bode well.
  14. Ignore this unwarranted positivity. ^
  15. If we get this ERod the rest of the way, we could pull out of this death spiral with Sale returning.
  16. Yeah, who wants a GM that almost always wins his Division.
  17. you picked a good time to turn off the game. With the Yankees up by 1 run the bases loaded and 2 outs and a 3-2 count, Gardner hit a grounder right at the SS who was going to one knee to field it when it came up and hit him in the jaw and 2 runs scored. That is when I turned it off.
  18. They said the explanation was that they couldn’t confirm that his foot was down on the plate. I don’t know how an out call at the plate can be reversed if the player goes in feet first.
  19. How does that .755 OPS stack up against Schwarber’s OPS for games that he has been on the DL?
  20. I think we would have to put the migraine game in the “bad start” category, so that would be 3 bad starts in his last 6 outings, and he hasn’t gone 6 in any of them. It isn’t impossible for him to turn it around, but his recent trend hasn’t been very good.
  21. But Bloom won the Schwarber deal according to Bleacher Report, and that is what really matters.
  22. Repetition is always very convincing and much appreciated.
  23. ERod is the key down the stretch. If he doesn’t straighten himself out and start going deep into games with quality starts, the staff and bullpen will not be sustainable.
