    He has been a colossal failure. To give him a pass if he finishes last 3 times in 4 seasons with a huge payroll cannot be justified unless a tsunami hit Fenway Park and killed the entire team. If his computer models showed that the 2012, 2014 and 2015 teams were supposed to be good, he needs to get better computer models. Kimmo, you are a great poster and a knowledgeable loyal fan, but you are like an O.J. Juror the way you make excuses for Ben. Lol! Edit: and no, I did not forget 2013, and I am very grateful, but he is a huge failure if he can't turn this team around. I am hoping that he can.

    I'll let Ben off of the hook for Donaldson if Billy Beane refuses to deal with Ben because Ben killed Billy's mother or slept with Billy's wife. Anything other than that is a poor excuse or rationalization, and I am not buying it.

    Yep, if I believed it, I would have to go to every game and make every game thread, because "at the game" mojo is the most potent. It's all fun and games, except when we make it to the post season. In the playoffs, I will sit in the same spot and not take bathroom breaks if we are winning. jk ... not really.

    Btw. After yesterday's debacle with our best young pitcher on the mound, U.N. should be sanctioned and banned from making future game threads.

    There are 98 games left in the season. There is a long way to go and there is time for 2015 to be salvaged. They need to make some bold moves, and they need to make them fast.

    what do you know about running a big league club. This is all part of Ben's strategy. Just kidding. The blame has to sit with him. He built it. Ben was nothing more than a loyal assistant. He is out of his depth in the lead role. Not to be completely critical of him, I have heard that Theo has said that Ben always got the coffee order right. He has to be concerned that he will lose his job if we finish last again. Anyone in his position would be exploring every option to turn this team around and save his job. There is the possibility that he is as Spud said, "a dumbass motherf***er" and he doesn't realize that his job is in peril. There is also the possibility that the FO has lost so much faith in him that they don't want him making any big moves. Without some big moves, this team is dead and Ben should start circulating his resume. I have read that Theo has been having a big problem getting someone who can get the coffee order right.

    I think we could still turn it around. An ace pitcher helps prevent prolonged losing streaks. ER is a nice addition too. Also, Farrell should institute some fielding practice into the pregame routine. That had been the standard for decades. The hitting is starting to produce. The culture and expectation of losing needs to change.
