    Not in any magnitude that affects the revenue, and certainly not enough to result in panic moves by the FO. Heck, Ben mainly sat on his hands during 3 last place seasons while the team's shortcomings were obvious to a blind man. Heck, the fact that the owners let him finish last twice and go after a third last place finish shows a lot of patience.

    Who has been more consistent. ARod has been in a tailspin. Horseface was better, but he will end up missing more than a month of the season. Ellsbury has been injured and slumping since. McCann has been your steady Eddie.

    Yes, I know that you are watching and following the team. I was just poking a little fun at you and demonstrating that a waning interest in TalkSox does not correlate to a decreased interest in the Red Sox. ;-)

    Sometimes we like the direction of the conversation and other times we are on the wrong side of the issue, but some one will be here to beat it. Lol! That is TalkSox. I'll be here winning some and losing some, but always interested and usually learning something.

    You are one of those fans that the FO overreacts to with big foolish signings because you walk away when the team is going bad.

    Ortiz with number 496 -- number 30 on the season. He is clearly the problem. We would be in first place but for him.

    I think it was at a " Fever Pitch" in the quest to win the first Championship. I think that was the attraction for the bandwagon fans. Some viewership was lost after that, but their fan following is solid -- the least of their problems. Edit: Red Sox in the 2014 last place season finished 4th overall in revenue at $370 million behind only the Yankees, Dodgers and Championship Giants. That is up from $357 million in the 2013 Championship season.

    You must experience Buyer's Remorse every time you purchase an automobile. Personally, I think I would prefer Greinke.

    Nothing is disastrous when you have the resources of the Red Sox. His signing was not helpful to the team.

    They are blaming that on Orsillo. Lol! NESN's ratings have been in the toilet for years -- dating before the stretch of last place finishes.

    We are at home and playing a team that would finish in the middle of the pack on AAA. The Phillies are terrible.

    How do people feel about whether Price can handle pitching in Fenway? I have never thought of him as a big pressure game pitcher, but I love his stuff.

    All of the contracts are insane. Contract aside, he is terrible against lefties and that trend was in place when he was signed. Plus, he is a meh fielder at best. He was a bad acquisition at any price.

    Panda is OPSing at .467 against lefties. Anyone would have done better.

    Tanaka is their ace and McCann is probably their most consistent offensive producer.

    I think Kelly can pitch out of the bullpen, and I don't think that is an option with Buchholz. Also, will Kelly still have minor league options next season?

    Tanaka was a big name acquisition. It was only a year earlier.

    That is what concerns me going into next season.

    Ben, you lost your dream job. That is very sad. You were given the opportunity that very few are given -- to be the GM of their favorite team. You weren't a former players and you were not related to ownership or any other baseball executive. You worked your way up the ladder from coffee boy. That is almost never done. Then in your second season you won a World Championship and the team won it at Fenway for the first time in 95 years. You were living the dream. You were in baseball heaven. In two years, it is all gone and you have no one to blame but yourself. That must be very hard to bear.

    It is the large loyal fanbase which provide this franchise with its wealth of resources and gives it a huge competitive advantage. To blame that aspect which gives you the advantage for the FO mismanagement is patently absurd.
