2. You are really a very boring guy.
3. He is still not right. He might miss his next start. It was the stupidest managerial move of the year. At least Grady didn't ask Pedro to run the bases.
4. I hope they fold in the first round. Theo should suffer for ditching his beloved Red Sox. Screw him. I hope that he enjoys all the fan letters that he is getting from SCM.
5. I would be much happier with Fullmer.
6. I think that he has snapped out of his hitting funk
7. He showed a strong arm last night.
8. Nice pickups! You have the doofus GM of Boys of Summer to thank for Porcello. I picked him up for a 2 start week and then recycled him. Idiot move. I haven't had any real good waiver pickups this year. My best have been Grandl and Shoemaker. Recently I have added Gary Sanchez.
9. I realize that, but the oohing and ahhing over ERod may still have been premature. Edit: Compared to the Tigers getting Fullmer for 2 months of Cespedes, the ERod trade doesn't look like such a bargain.
10. They are under a lot of pressure to win it all this year. After this tye of regular season, an NLCS or league pennant would be a huge letdown.
11. We may have been a little premature with all the oohing and ahhing about getting ERod for Miller.
12. Neither Kimbrel nor Kelly has a good idea of where the pitch will go after it is released. The big difference between the two of them is that Kimbrel's ball has such movement that he overpowers most catchers and umps often get fooled by his pitchers. The batters really are helpless against him. Kelly's ball is straight and if his location is not perfect, most major leaguers can turn around his fastball. There is no comparison between the 2. Hopefully, Kelly can be useful late in games, but I will not have a secure feeling with him on the hill in the 8th inning.
13. Kelly's curve looks pretty good tonight.
14. Moncada is in the game at 3rd base. He is now a major leaguer.
15. Shaw doesnt want to give up his spot.
16. I saw a Fenway green windbreaker jacket in the Fenway Store on Yawkey Way, but the jacket says Fenway Park, not Red Sox.
17. I would rather my pitcher not pitch to the hitters strength and if he beats him on the outside of the plate I want to reward my pitcher by having a fielder on the left side to get him the out. If the pitcher does the job and gets a weakly hit pulled ball, you probably don't need the extra fielder anyway. I am not against shifting all the time. I would just do it on the top batters, not on every one in the lineup.
18. Good hitters are better at laying off the bad pitch on the outside of the plate than bad hitters. And I do only believe in using over shifts against he very best hitters, because they are the ones that will make you pitch to their strength.
19. It is completely unnecessary on weak hitters. They generally don't hit the ball hard, and the over shift makes the pitcher less likely to pitch to the hitter's weakness on the outside of the plate.
20. And bad hitters are more likely to have trouble handling the ball on the outside third of the plate, inducing weak groundballs and pop ups. Why would I force my pitcher to pitch to the strength of weak hitters by trying to induce them into pulling the ball?
21. I think over shifts are greatly over used, and if i jelly legged a .240 hitting left handed batter who poked a weak grounder or popup to an abandoned left side of the infield, I would kick the manager in the ass.

Triggs

Probable Pitchers

Here is an idea for the knucklehead manager. There is no one on this suckass Money Baller team of bums who warrants an over shift on Defense. Just let Price do his job getting the outs without your meddling. Over shifts should never be employed for hitters batting below .250 without power. They get themselves out. Earth to Farrell. Get some caffeine before the game and get your 2 neurons working and engaged in the game.
23. Hanigan yuk! The guy is either injured or washed up. He has been a shell of his form self.
