  1. Cora knows that he doesn’t have 3 innings in his pig pen so he sent Pivetta back out for the 7th.
  2. This is an enjoyable competitive game with Pivetta battling a very tough lineup, but this will be his last inning and then the parade of pigs from the pen will wreck this game.
  3. I am sure that is the compelling argument that Cora is making.
  4. i would say the ridiculous policy of the Canadian government had more to do with it.
  5. Houck isn’t the answer at closer anyway.
  6. He’s not scared. He is just s***.
  7. At some point they will have to start beating AL East teams.
  8. Canada should be ostracized. Oh wait, they pretty much are ostracized.
  9. DS has been a major douche for many years.
  10. From what I hear reported, the team has no problem in this regard and that a number of other players were vaccinated only recently. I think many are sympathetic with these players. Edit: I think the clubhouse is united in thinking Canada is imposing a stupid rule.
  11. The highest batting average in the A’s lineup is in the .240’s. Jed Lowrie hits Cleanup while hitting below the Mendoza line.
  12. Tonight’s pitching matchup was a mismatch.
  13. This is the worst season that I have had in this league. I should fire myself.
  14. Toronto should lose it’s sports franchises. Can’t have nonsensical government edicts affecting the outcome of sports contests and creating a separate set of rules.
  15. It is a stupid rule by the stupid government of Canada. Period.
  16. That’s one description.
  17. I don’t doubt that some of the Yankees pitchers will come back to earth, but it will not be a case of them regressing and our pitchers improving at the same time. It is more likely that both staffs will regress at the same time. Our June 2.22 ERA isn’t sustainable. They are pitching lights out and we are still way behind the Yankees.
  18. Do you play fantasy baseball?
  19. Speaking of slumps. Red Sox pitching is more likely to slump than Yankee pitchers. Red Sox pitching has been performing well above expectations and past performance.
  20. But not quite like crashing your motorcycle without a helmet.
  21. Very well said.
  22. Interesting that Peralta was credited with the victory last night instead of Holmes. I can’t recall seeing that in the past in such a situation. Normally, Holmes would get the Blown save and the win and Peralta would have gotten the save. I understand that there is official scorer’s discretion, and I have seen scorer's discretion where a starting pitcher left the game with the lead and less than 6 innings pitched, but I can’t recall seeing it in this situation.
  23. That was the first earned run yielded by Holmes since Opening Day.
