  1. Pathetic taking a beat down from KC.
  2. But it is proven to work. LOL!;)
  3. Don’t you live in Canada? You do realize there were better options?
  4. He would have been hammered by one group of he sold and another group if he bought, but no one know what to make of this deadline strategy, so he is getting blasted by everyone including Pedro.
  5. If they are prohibitively expensive, how could any team other than the Yankees or Dodgers afford them? The Red Sox are not Kansas City or the Marlins or Tampa.
  6. He moved Swihart to the OF because he couldn’t catch. It turned out that he couldn’t hit either. I never understood why the organization held Swihart in such high regard. I had people in the organization confirm to me that they regarded him very highly. I never saw what they saw. And they gave him plenty of opportunity.
  7. Was Bloom hoping that he would bounce back to his prime for,... when he also couldn’t hit? And if he thought so highly of him why did he let him walk in the first place? He got him back to pay him the bulk of a contract that he had deemed too expensive. Makes no senses. There were cheaper good glove CFers available.
  8. And if Bloom doesn’t fill in those blanks with some good players, they will have another season like this one. He might not fill some of those blanks at all.
  9. And that fits with what philosophy or strategy... paying that much for a guy who didn’t hit .200 and throwing in a 30 HR guy to get him. Jeesh!
  10. Huh. And I thought the Sox were second to none on that category. I overestimated them or maybe I underestimated them.
  11. Fred McGriff missed by 7. He hit 493.
  12. McGuire is having a nice night. He may be happy enough to rub one out in the parking lot after the game.
  13. It was obvious after 2 batters that Hernandez didn’t have clue tonight. From there he always goes into destruction mode. But Cora doesn’t know this about his own player. Oye. Maybe he would have removed him had it not been for the 3 batter rule. I don’t think DHern is a 3 batter pitcher.
  14. I think the Red Sox should be done with him.
  15. Was Dhern just biting the baseball while waiting for that review?
  16. I didn’t realize that the Royals had Ty Cobb, Lou Brock and Rickey Henderson.
  17. Hosmer excels with the glove. Franchy would have batted that ball over the dugout into the stands.... but it would have been a very athletic move.
  18. Those would be the inadequate players that he brought north from camp like Dalbec and Franchy and numerous pitchers in the pen and the rotation who don’t belong on any major league roster, and whose fault was it for bringing north such inadequate players.
  19. His actions don’t indicate any focused or well-developed strategy or philosophy. His actions are confusing.
  20. Probably right. I don’t think too many of our players had much trade value.
  21. LOL! We will hear about how his great athleticism will help him adapt to catching. LMAO!
