  1. You kicked my butt all week long. I couldn't get back into the contest as you increased your leads in each category as the week went on. Congratulations and good luck in the playoffs, buddy. Gringo has been tough all season long.
  2. And then Jordan's free furniture is in play!
  3. And that is a good point. He was an unknown for me after the long layoff and no rehab games, but I did hear that JF would use him either today or tomorrow, so I just figured if he was planning on using him today, I would have gone with him early. If he was going to blow up the game it didn't matter if he came in for the 6th or 7th, but i thought if he was sharp we might be able to get 3 inning from him. I had no idea what he was going to bring to the mound. He looked good, and that was encouraging.
  4. I can't prove it, but you can't prove that we wouldn't have won. And JF cannot prove that his way didn't result in a loss. LOL!!
  5. Not bias. it did cost us the game. I just can't prove that my way woud have won the game. At least i have an argument. JF does not.
  6. $21.5 million doesn't buy you much these days. What is Pom worth $150 million this season?
  7. I remember you saying that it was an interesting idea to go to Price in the 6th. We were right and it was the right move at the right time. Farrell was an inning late and it cost the team. I didn't say that it was a moronic move by him and didn't scream fro him to be fired. The move was just too late. The armchair guys on the gamethread called it right today. Can JF follow us on his tablet during the game or is that against league rules?
  8. That is the hope -- to peak at the right time.
  9. No one said it was a moronic move. The move to Price was too late, and it cost them. Plouffe hit a seed s the first batter in that 6th inning. Maybe that seemed easy because it left his bat and found a glove so fast, but it was not an indication that he was in command.
  10. He did. Farrell should have done better.
  11. Our already inconsistent and skimpy offense is falling apart physically to boot. Let's hope for the best.
  12. Boyd is a mediocre talent. He may never find himself in that position against such a weak lineup. Why did Ausmus put Miggy in CF while he was at it and have the catcher play SS too.
  13. That would be a big loss for the team.
  14. My point is if he was going to bring in Price for multiple innings that he should not have pushed the limit on ERod who had just had a very tough 5th inning. He pushed the limit and he got burned. I am not one that harps on Farrell a lot for his bullpen usage. He has done a fair job in that aspect, but today is one of those cases where I thought that he should have shut ERod down and brought in Price to start the 6th if he was going to use him today anyway. I stated it in the game thread while we were batting in the 6th. Farrell had other ideas and ERod got taken deep for the game winner. Them is just the facts Max.
  15. In a tie game, maybe Cash doesn't go to his closer in the 9th, or maybe we go to extra innings and gut out the victory. The fact is that Farrell left in ERod after he hit his expiration date an he gave up the winning run. That you can't disprove. Until you can do that, my way would have given us a chance of winning. Funny how I can turn your s*** around on you.
  16. Idiot Showalter just walked Judge -- the tying run with 2 outs in the 9th inning to face Sanchez who is now the winning run. Are you kidding me!
  17. Showalter is still trying to give today's game to the Yankees. Britton got the last out of the 8th inning. O's still leading 6-4. Hopefully, he can lock it down.
  18. After seeing the replay, i think that a good RF gets that ball. They were leading 7-0. He did not need Castellanos' bat in the game in the 9th. Certainly, they had a real outfielder on the roster. Managerial stupidity on display for all to see.
  19. Mat Boyd loses a no hitter after 8 2/3 innings tonight. The batter beat the RF -- Castallanos. WTF was Castellanos doing in RF in the 9th inning of a no-no. Brad Ausmus clearly never attended classes while he was at Stanford. What a dope. I am not saying that a better RF er would have gotten the ball, but they would have had a much better chance of getting it than a 6'5" third baseman.
  20. We are missing Betts here.
  21. Price could have gone 3 today -- only 21 pitches through 2 innings.
  22. Managers can have an impact in close games. Farrell should have gone to Price an inning earlier if he was going to use him today.
  23. He was fine. He is what he is... not an ace... not yet at least. JF left him out there too long. If he was going to bring in Price for a couple of innings, he should have brought him in for the 6th and 7th imo. As usual, JF is a couple of beats behind better baseball minds. LOL!!
  24. Yankees fighting back in the 6th inning as Showalter devises a way to hand them another game.
  25. Is this the guy who used to be the Giants closer? He has had a fall from grace.
