I am astounded at $26 million spent Houston in 2013. Did they only spend their revenue sharing check?

That's just not true. If people are going to bring up my name, I wish they could get things right more often than not. I didn't predict a last place finish in 2012, 2014 or 2015. I predicted first pace in '12, a 4th place finish in '14, and I am not sure about '15, but I think I also predicted a 4th place finish.

It could be that managers are just dumb and risk averse. If they save their closer until the 9th inning, it is harder to criticize a manger than if he brings in the closer earlier and then another reliever blows the game in the 9th.

I predict a big move by the Red Sox by Wednesday. I thought that something would have have happened already, but I am revising my prediction to Wednesday at the latest. I think season regular season tickets go on sale on Saturday. The pattern of the Red Sox has been to create some buzz with a big move before that happens.

Winning Baseball is fine. If you are over .500, often you still have a shot at a wild card. That is not a cliff to me. Edit: Maybe other people have a sense of entitlement, but that wouldn't be me unless expecting a $200 million payroll to play .500 and be competitive is considered entitlement.

All we need to know about Ben's abilities is that since he was fired there have been a ton of GM openings and none have been offered to him.

The cliff is speculative at best. I'd rather speculate about winning a Championship while in the so-called "window." People started talking about the cliff after getting Chris Sale. If I could physically turn a cartwheel without injuring myself, I would still be doing cartwheels after getting him. Almost immediately "cliff talk" started. It is like getting a cute new puppy full of fun and life and immediately worrying about the day you have to put it down.
