  1. Really getting personal.
  2. No experts saw that coming. It was a great move by the Astros, but it wasn’t a dumpster dive.
  3. Carrying over arguments from another thread is poor form. I am living rent free in your head. LOL! I am really under your skin.
  4. A hole has been created in our roster.
  5. Do we have anyone who can write in Japanese?
  6. Oh, the rest of us thought that a bargain was 25% off.
  7. I checked his record and last year he didn't make any dumpster dive picks for starting pitching and he did not pick Morrow either. Instead he picked Brett Cecil. Cecil's 2017 performance was pretty much the same as his 2016 performance and it was significantly down from 2015. Overall, as I expected, his record at picking Best Buys is pretty meh -- and a worthless endeavor imo.
  8. The market has been set!
  9. Touche' I will check his track record.
  10. Again you misunderstand and misrepresent and you use your mistaken interpretation as the basis for an insult. The only reason that I am considering Hanley as a platoon option is because people seem to want to limit his playing time so that his option doesn't vest. There is validity in that point of view, but I still see no evidence that he would be a good platoon player. If you were going to platoon him, it would be with a left-handed hitter, not a right handed hitter like, Travis, hence my statement. Can you follow that? It is difficult having a discussion with someone who so often mistakes and misinterprets your posts. You make a habit of that and not just with me.
  11. I never once used the term "injury prone"with regard to Duda. That is just another example of you spinning things and misrepresenting what someone else has said. I said that Duda has 2 chronic conditions (3 if you count each hip) -- a bad back and 2 bad hips. These are time bombs.
  12. Is he healthy? I don’t trust our medical staff to figure out his health status.
  13. Then explain what you meant. I was asking an honest question and you are acting like a snarky Jackass.
  14. My Met fan friend knows his team very well. He is my Met expert. He is almost prescient when it comes to the Mets. I was at a game in September 2007 with him when wirba 4-0 lead the Mets put on the oppositions first 2 hitters in the 4th inning. My friend got up and said “this game is over. I am not going to sit through this.” I thought he was overreacting, because the team was in a free fall collapse. I tied to convince him to stay, telling him that they were up 4-0 and it was still early. He left, and before he got to his car, the Mets had blown the 4 run lead in that inning and went onto another painful loss. Is that proof of anything to you? I am sure it is not. And I really don’t care to prove you wrong about anything. It was one game of many over the years where I was left asking myself how he knew something would happen. I’ll stick with his expertise about anything dealing with the Mets. I will check with him on Duda. For the record, I love stats and data, but they mean more with context. You seem to be hell bent on proving people wrong if they disagree with you and your last post was a bit nasty and personal. You think you are some sort of expert on right and wrong with regard to all things baseball. You are no different for the rest of the Jackass fans that frequent these boards, and I include myself in that group— just so that you and no one else takes offense
  15. You don’t know what point you were trying to make either. LOL!
  16. Okay a brutal 2 month slump. I stand corrected on the half month. It was a brutal slump. The team that acquired him to give their offense wasn’t playing him everyday. I am sure that is not what they had in mind when they acquired him.
  17. He should publish his results. Otherwise, it is hard to take seriously articles and lists like this.
  18. Who are you trying to overwhelm with these stats... yourself? You would not mind getting Duda. That is pretty clear. I don’t want him that is pretty clear. Your numbers have established and proved nothing except that you spend a lot of your time at your laptop looking for all sorts of parsed stats.
  19. You are disputing a claim that I never made.
  20. I honestly don’t know what point you are trying to make with this post.
  21. 2017 he just had a 2 1/2 month brutal slump.
  22. I would go with either one of them. The downside for Travis is that he is right-handed and not a platoon candidate with Hanley
  23. Did he mention Morrow last year? I am betting that he didn't. Saying that Fister will outperform his perceived value is not a great prediction as he has very little value and merely making a major league roster next season and putting up a 5.00 ERA would be outperforming his perceived value. Is that notable as a pre-season projection? Not to me. As for Hunter, outperforming his perceived value would mean that he would have to become an 8th inning guy or go back into a starting rotation. That one bears watching.
  24. Of course that would be on DD. I didn't say that it would be Moon's fault. I would seek him out for the joy of Message board "I told you so." How did you interpret that I was assigning fault? Honestly, you really have a hard time understanding me.
