  1. Glove is on Beny's other hand, making it a tougher play and he doesn't get the greatest breaks on balls. that was not a sure catch for Beny by any stretch.
  2. I like his bat. He is tough under pressure, and he is a pretty good second baseman. He's no Pedey around the bag, but he is much better than Nunez. His knees are really creaky. Sometimes he twists a little too much coming out of the box and he is hobbled pretty badly. I have seen him come out of games in such instances. He is usually back in the lineup the following day, but I keep wondering how long it will be before one of his knees lock up. If the price is right, I'd take the risk on him.
  3. Porcello is looking like a steaming pile tonight.
  4. I am going to guess, Kevin Romine.
  5. And I was just about to rename porcellos to prices.
  6. I hope that the Yankees get this guy!!!
  7. Swihart should provide great protection for JD.
  8. He was at least trying to move his feet. Pearce has 5 career HRs against Haap.
  9. Did Nava get thrown out trying to score on a popup to the catcher behind home plate at Fenway? Correction: He was trying to advance to 2nd base. 404 This content is not currently available. | MLB.com WWW.MLB.COM
  10. I wonder if it was the same shoulder. Maybe he should start sliding feet first.
  11. I was referring to Manny Machado and getting him, but Manny Ramirez did the same stupid thing.
  12. I think the door just got kicked open for Phillips. is he ready yet?
  13. It is no doubt from that stupid, unnecessary head first slide into home plate. He grabbed it right away. Manny anyone?
  14. Plus, we have Phillips waiting in the wings. A couple of bullpen arms would be nice. i don't like the quality of the available starters being mentioned, so I will hope that a one of or a combination of Pom, Wright, and Velasquez can hold down the 5th slot. Unless we can steal Manny Machado, I don't see the need for another bat, but I would kick the tires on Wilson Ramos at catcher.
  15. Panda was a Ben signing.
  16. For most of his career, the hitters jut don't have a chance.
  17. When we get 7 from Sale and 1 from Kimbrel, it is a 1 inning game for the opposing offense.
  18. He should have re-signed Lester and saved us $150 million, but he didn't, because he knew jackshit about pitching.
  19. I kept hoping right through spring training that Ben would make a move for a bona fide good starter, but then he made the statement that he was happy with their pitching. I was in disbelief. The only people happy with that staff were the opposing hitters.
  20. On the radio, they said that he is listed at 5'11" 280 lbs. At those dimensions and age 45, it is remarkable what he is doing.
