4 BB and 2 HBP. Goodness.

Welcome to baseball by Pomeranz. If he continues to walk people, he will be DFA’d quickly.
  3. a700hitter
Hopefully, it is a precautionary maintenance action and that it will keep him fresh down the stretch.

We still have time to add a reliever if Thornburg and Kelly blow up.
  5. a700hitter
We definitely needed to get a glove at 2B and Kinsler is a potent bat as well.

I never knew anyone who got this disease, and now 2 NY pitchers have it Syndegard and Happ.

Good job. You can't force it on the little ones.
  8. a700hitter
Don't ever tell that to a pitcher. LOL!!

Just make sure that he keeps the Red Sox hat on his head.

Rizzo has stated that the Nats will not trade Harper.

Nunez and Holt will probably share 3B until Devers comes back. After Devers comes back, he should share 3B with Nunez and Holt will be utility guy spelling Bogey and Kinsler. That would be a bench of; Nunez Holt Pierce Swihart That is a very versatile group and should do a good job of keeping the starters fresh. As for Pedroia, the Red Sox have been downgrading his possible return date. He is now listed as "Possibly 2018".
  12. a700hitter
Swihart is making Cora look like a genius for keeping him on the roster.

    Ouch!
  14. a700hitter
And he is hitting his stride at the plate recently. He has looked good on the bases with his triple and his stolen base. i was worried about him the other night when he was flexing his knee a lot, but he seems to have shaken that off.

Kapler made a TON of "Informed" boneheaded moves early on.
  16. a700hitter
The Red Sox website had listed his return as September. Now it says "possible 2018". I think that he is toast.

    Very True.
  18. a700hitter
And Kinsler has been much improved offensively in the last month.

Farrell must be the Phillies base running coach.

You don’t have to buy it. It is always just an opinion. Managers surely make mistakes. They are human. Do observers get it right when they call a manager’s move a mistake. That is surely imprecise, but it is worthy of discussion.
  22. a700hitter
And in my opinion that would be a mistake in light of Moreland's record as a PHer and his head to head stat against Rodney of 6 for 10.
  23. a700hitter
He said that he would read Cora’s book right after he finished Sean Spicer’s book. What does that mean to you?
  24. a700hitter
Even that is pretty far from crucifying. Why would anyone want to read a book about a baseball manager? I loved Tito, but his book is not on my list. Saying that he managed a game like a rookie manager is pretty light criticism. Boston is a tough sports town. Cora hasn’t seen anything close to the dark side of Boston Sports coverage, but eventually he will.

Also, the heel impacts your swing less than your wrist.
