    Of all the guys that DD traded, he is the only one that I see as someone who could haunt us down the road, and he is still a couple of years away. If he becomes a CyYoung winner in 2024, the trade in 2015 was still worth it.

    I think it is a very reasonable suspicion, but I don’t think he was trying to hit him. Pearce has eaten Happ’s lunch. Happ was probably trying to move his feet and make him a little uncomfortable. Most of the time a hitter moves his legs to avoid the pitch or just catch a glancing blow. Pearce’s front foot looked like it was stuck in cement as it was still planted when he got hit, making the impact worse.

    That wasn’t Ben? For the life of me, I don’t understand the Ben love. Of Mookie’s was his guy, that would have been quite the catch.

    I have been following James Shields’ season. He is with a pathetic team that is horrible defensively and they play in a bandbox. He has put up a high number of quality starts, but the really notable thing about his season thus far is that he has avoided what has been his downfall throughout his career — the Home Run ball. I would think that he should be an inexpensive acquisition. If Pom and Wright continue to falter Shields would be a good alternative.

    Great story. Regarding the size of his left arm, I read that one doctor who examined him said that he had the most well developed deltoid muscle that he had ever examined.

    If we get 7 runs at home with one our top 3starters on the hill, we should win. I don't give a rats ass how many LOBs we have. 7 should be enough.

    Cora made a very bad decision staying with Porcello long after the announcers and every spectator knew that he had nothing. Maybe his boys will bail him out again.

    Eck could see it from the booth last inning that Porcello had nothing. The good news is that he gave up only 1 Porcello. Edit: 2 Porcellos. he can't win giving up Porcellos.

    Glove is on Beny's other hand, making it a tougher play and he doesn't get the greatest breaks on balls. that was not a sure catch for Beny by any stretch.

    I like his bat. He is tough under pressure, and he is a pretty good second baseman. He's no Pedey around the bag, but he is much better than Nunez. His knees are really creaky. Sometimes he twists a little too much coming out of the box and he is hobbled pretty badly. I have seen him come out of games in such instances. He is usually back in the lineup the following day, but I keep wondering how long it will be before one of his knees lock up. If the price is right, I'd take the risk on him.
