  1. I would trust David Wells more than JJ any day any year. I'd rather have Wells on the mound in a wheel chair on oxygen than that piece of s*** Jason johnson. All in all, Well did not do that badly. He gave us 6 inning. He allowed 8 hits but only 9 baserunners. That's not so terrible. The big inning was the result of an error on a pretty easy play. He only gave up 2 earned runs.
  2. Big K by Wells. BTW: I thought Ortiz was safe on the back end of the DP.
  3. ...and the White Sox won and the Twins are winning big.
  4. Right now, our mid-season acquisition is looking a lit old and tired. The FO let too much ride on Wells coming back
  5. Nice play by Youk staying with the hot grounder. That'll leave a mark.
  6. Wells must be getting tired of balls being hit up the middle.
  7. This umps strike zone is very inconsistent. The same pitch is being called a ball and at other times a strike.
  8. There's always some crazy scene when the Red Sox play theses Rays. For years it was hit batters and brawls. Now, its batted balls hitting our pitches.
  9. Next inning the big boppers come up again.
  10. Was there any official pre-game news on Lowell?
  11. Looks like vintage Boomer so far. It's time for Javy to get his first Red Sox hit.
  12. Nice run-saving play by Upton robbing Youklis.
  13. Thuuuhhhh Yankeees Loooose!!! Thuhhhhhhhh Yankees Looooose!!!!
  14. It looks like Javy Lopez is his target for the night.
  15. This game was a lock bet, but that's what happens when you think you've got the game figured out.
  16. Jorge swings at two curveballs in a row against the struggling rookie. wtf Edti: Posada doing his best to bail out the kid. Even Paul O'Neil couldn't understand what Posada was doing.
  17. Kid is starting to realize that he has a chance for a win against the Yankees and he is beginning to choke. Perlozzo better not wait too long or the game will slip away.
  18. I know. I was using him as an example.
  19. Taking Moose out after 5 was a mistake. He'd only thrown 95 pitches. At 3-0 it was still a very win-able game against the rookie pitcher. Villone just padded the O's lead by another 2 runs.
  20. Maybe he just needs a rest. Playing in 90+ temperatures more than 100 games into the season takes its toll.
  21. Sometimes an old pitcher like Maddux can help too.
  22. Millar is strictly a Jack man.
  23. That would be a terrible blow to the lineup.
  24. Tejada with another hit. .636 avg.
