    I would trust David Wells more than JJ any day any year. I'd rather have Wells on the mound in a wheel chair on oxygen than that piece of s*** Jason johnson. All in all, Well did not do that badly. He gave us 6 inning. He allowed 8 hits but only 9 baserunners. That's not so terrible. The big inning was the result of an error on a pretty easy play. He only gave up 2 earned runs.

    There's always some crazy scene when the Red Sox play theses Rays. For years it was hit batters and brawls. Now, its batted balls hitting our pitches.

    Jorge swings at two curveballs in a row against the struggling rookie. wtf Edti: Posada doing his best to bail out the kid. Even Paul O'Neil couldn't understand what Posada was doing.

    Kid is starting to realize that he has a chance for a win against the Yankees and he is beginning to choke. Perlozzo better not wait too long or the game will slip away.

    Taking Moose out after 5 was a mistake. He'd only thrown 95 pitches. At 3-0 it was still a very win-able game against the rookie pitcher. Villone just padded the O's lead by another 2 runs.

    Maybe he just needs a rest. Playing in 90+ temperatures more than 100 games into the season takes its toll.
