    Torre had a great run run in NY. It was time to change the face in the dugout. This Yankee team didn't need a calming influence in the dugout like the self-motivated teams that won championships. This team needed a kick in the ass, a jump start. Torre can't do that. Frankly, it was time for him to go last year. He didn't want to work for George anymore and George wanted him gone, but there was too much money left on his contract for either one to make a move.

    Yes' date=' they got swept by KC on the last weekend of the season to lose the Division, but they are amazing. Maybe your team just choked. The usual suspects were responsible. 1 hit from ARod and 1 hit from Sheffield. They reminded me of Red Sox fans in 2004. Have a nice offseason, loser! BTW we don't have any star FA's that your bottomless pit of $ can poach this year.

    I think so. You want the 4th OF to be a solid fielder and able to play all three OF postions. He can do that. He should be able to hit more than Kapler.

    I don't believe in great managers. I've seen many bad managers. A good manager is one that doesn't get in the way to screw things up. The great managers are good managers with talented teams.
