If Nixon performs the same or better than Drew this year, we would not have needed to sign Drew for 5 years, and the FO would have had more of a budget to sign one of the premier FA CFs after this season-- Andruw Jones, Ichiro, Tori Hunter.

I am not drawing any conclusions, but here is a snap shot not including tonight's games.
If he knowingly took steroids, why would he admit it? Has he been subpoenaed to testify with immunity before a Grand Jury ? Did he test positive? or is he having some attack of conscience? Who knows ...maybe next week O.J. will confess to the murders. Gom, your post is ridiculous.
If he sits at 92, that's good, but if that's what he tops out at it's no big deal. Is he truly next in line for the 5th slot or is that speculation on these and other boards? I thought he threw harder. Personally, I'd go to Snyder before I'd give the slot to Hansack. I think Tavarez is the best of the three.
This guy is the real deal. He has outstanding tools and he doesn't get intimidated. You know I give it straight about prospects, and it is seldom as favorable as the scouting reports. This kid is exciting.
Obviously, the Red Sox would have made the wise choice in those circumstances, but your hypothetical is quite a bit more remote. Most bookies would lay heavy odds against that happening.
