  1. Let's see what he's got. He's not 18. These guys are babied way too much.
  2. It drives me crazy when we make a kid who will be forgotten in 3 weeks look like a Cy Young candidate. The rest of the league will beat is brains out.
  3. The great rotation that everyone was crowing about will not look anywhere near as imposing with hansack and Tavarez taking up two of the slots.
  4. After facing Beckett, Snyder must look like he is lobbing the ball under hand.
  5. I guess the finger problems are not cured after all.
  6. That explains why he looks more polished than the other kids.
  7. He walked right by Mills into the runway, and Mills looked very surprised.
  8. I missed the "Impossible to Forget" special on NESN prior to opening day due to a NESN blackout for out of region viewers. The 1967 team got me hooked for life on the Red Sox and revived baseball in all of New England sowing the seeds for Red Sox Nation. The DVD will be released in June and Amazon is taking pre-orders for the 2 DVD set at a discount. The 2 DVD set has some extras that the TV special did not have. It includes the full broadcast of the September 30th game against the Twins-- the next to last game of the season. I have been looking for broadcasts of the last two games for decades. I guess that final game is lost to everything except our memories.
  9. Drew clearly beat that throw. That play by Payton demonstrates why he is a bench player. His attitude to think he is more than a bench player is why he is a douche bag.
  10. Huff is a good hitter. I'd rather have him on our bench than Hinske.
  11. Lester threw a bullpen session today. He said he fel good, but when asked about his forearm cramp, he said that it is something that has always bothered him and that he'd just have to pitch thru it. I really don't like to hear that with a young pitcher, especially one that has been coddled with pitch counts throughout his development.
  12. My observations of him have been mostly in the field and he looks very solid at SS. He has good speed, hand and a good arm. He impressed me as a leader on the field. That may not take him very far, but its a rare quality in a young player.
  13. Tomorrow --Pettitte vs. Ramirez? Holy gift-wrapped win batman.
  14. Ellsbury got thrown out on a bang bang play by the SS. He's very fast down the line, but not Ichiro fast.
