  1. Continue arguing irrelevant facts and you'll continue losing arguments. Just sayin. BTW Have you fact checked the # of Clemens wins and his age? just as irrelevant.
  2. No, because missing a few starts in a 20 + year career is inconsequential and irrelevant when the issue being discussed is whether Clemen's early career shoulder surgery affected his durability. It clearly didn't. You seized on the word never and proved an entirely irrelevant point. Hence, the Pyrrhic victory. I also stated that he had 350 wins and that he pitched to age 46. I'm not sure that either of those statements are correct. They are not worth researching, because precision with regard to those facts is irrelevant to the argument. Must I teach you everything.
  3. It shortened his career to age 46.
  4. I hope his house burns down and he has to live in a welfare motel. I hope that I see him panhandling some day so I can spit in his change cup.
  5. I guess he is hiding. No guts.
  6. If his shoulder is in the same condition that it was in after the 2005 season, then that is an excellent sign. Most pitchers have deterioration from wear and tear year after year. No changes to his MRI coupled with no shoulder issues in the last 4 season makes his shoulder seem like a pretty safe bet.
  7. Who do you think would be the better pitcher to sign long term? You are defending Beckett. Do you think he is clearly the better choice than Lee, and if so, on what are you basing your opinion?
  8. His shoulder was MRI'd after 2007. From the Bradford article:
  9. They ran the tests on his elbow, because Beckett, not the Sox, was concerned about tingling in his arm. The Sox Doctors had cleared him to pitch. They tested his elbow, because that was his concern, not the shoulder. Beckett has had no shoulder concerns since 2000. He has missed no time with shoulder issues of any sort in his four years with the Red Sox. http://fullcount.weei.com/sports/boston/baseball/red-sox/2010/02/09/the-importance-of-josh-becketts-shoulder/ So, he has had no problem with his shoulder in many years and he has a clean bill of health on his elbow as well.
  10. Boston Globe article in 2008.
  11. Where the hell is Example? C'mon Example. It's time for you and me to go mano a mano.
  12. What's your opinion? Do you think Beckett is clearly the better pitcher?
  13. He will not sign for a discount, but if the Sox do open up the wallet for one of these guys, I think it will be Beckett.
  14. He was in top shape coming into camp last year. We'll have to wait and hope. They all feel great now. If a player isn't optimistic in the last week of February, he's in for a bumpy ride.
  15. There is not a compelling case in favor of Lee or Beckett. Beckett has done the job in Boston and the FO has a relationship with Beckett. They are more likely to get him to sign at a better value contract IMO. If they sign either of these guys, it will be Beckett.
  16. I am sure that a few of them googled him.
