    Am I the only one who is concerned that we let our most productive hitter walk?

    I agree. The catcher is not the problem. A few passed balls are not going to make a difference unless they come with runners on second or third.

    What is the over/under on runners that he will throw out while Wakefield is pitching... 2? I'll take the under. Is it really "handling Wakefield" if every base runner gets second base?

    I don't understand the concern. We added a proven starter-- the ace of one of the best teams in the league. Why would people be concerned? I'd be more concerned if Wakefield and Buchholz were taking two spots in the rotation. It is much better that they are vying for 1 spot. Injury can happen to anyone at anytime, so why worry. I'm concerned about losing our most productive offensive player.

I don't believe that Gonzalez is in play now, and I don't expect that he will be in play during the season. If the Red Sox were to land him, what would they do with Beltre?
