You are correct that we know that he could have scored without colliding with the catcher, in many different ways. Therefore, we also know a second thing --that he intentionally bowled over the catcher. Because of the first thing we know, we also know that the second thing was unnecessary. Draw your own conclusions.

That package will never get him. The package would have to include Buccholz and Kelly. Anderson is on the way to palooka-ville, Tazawa just had major reconstructive arm surgery, Bowden is not a very good prospect. We are not getting this guy this season. We have 5 guys that play first and third. Gonzalez would have to play full time forcing the Sox to cut two guys that make more the 10 million a piece. It would also force VMart to catch every day with no room at 1B. Also what would happen with Beltre? They built a team that can't fir Gonzalez even if they could convince Hoyer to trade him. -

Ken Singleton said that he thought Tex might have been sending a message, because he was going to be safe either way. What message do you think he might have been trying to send? He wanted to give the guy a good lick that was completely unnecessary. I don't think he wanted it to feel good. Do you?
