  1. That was a bad play and a terrible call.
  2. Here comes the next gift victory for an opponent at home.
  3. Yes, Ortiz is a complete strange to making the full trip around the bases.:dunno:
  4. Why didn't Beltre try to upend Tejada on that play instead of letting him plant and complete the DP?
  5. Bard has given up 7 HRs in 61 innings. Papelbon gave up 7 HRs in his first 2 full seasons with 102 innings.
  6. Why did VM even attempt that throw? Bard coughing up another gopher ball.
  7. With the way this homestand has gone, Bard will give up a 1st pitch Grand Salami.
  8. What do you think about grown men singing Sweet Caroline to each other?
  9. Once a player has hit 50 HRs in a season there is usually only one way to go; however, he can probably still be productive even though he'll never be 2004-2007 Ortiz.
  10. Good work getting out of the inning.
  11. There ain't nothing wrong with his bat speed.
  12. I told you that he'll hit. He waited back and reacted.
  13. Finally some good Defense.
  14. The defense and the offense is horrible.
  15. Scutaro sucks. He's not average.
  16. I am almost positive that Buccholz is out of options, so that was never a possibility because he'd never clear waivers.
  17. Thus far the acquisition of Beltre has been a bust. His acquisition has created a logjam at 1st and 3rd forcing VMart to catch too much. He has not hit a HR yet, as he flails away at the plate with no plate discipline. He has already made a few fielding errors, and there have been a few bonehead plays to like not covering 3B on a ball fielded by Lester and getting thrown out at 2B when the team was behind and needed to start a rally. The worst thing he has done has been to knock our leadoff hitter and offensive catalyst out of the lineup by running into him on a ball that was clearly Ellsbury's that he was calling all the way. The worst part is that we will probably be stuck with him next season.
  18. He threw very well last night. I think he does much better when he steps up the tempo. He gets in trouble when he slows things down and takes a lot of time between pitches. Getting in a good rhythm is helpful to many pitchers and Buccholz was in a good rhythm last night. Lester turned things around in 2008 when he started working more quickly.
  19. He's an announcer, but he was probably faster than VMart.
  20. Other than Benjie Molina, those two guys Lowell and VMart may be the two slowest guys in baseball.
  21. The bag of puss gets Hamilton without the runner scoring. The game never ceases to surprise me.
