  1. No Rick Peterson... please!
  2. What is the source of the quote used in your post?
  3. As a Red Sox fan, I don't really care what they pay for him. He's an impact arm when healthy. I hope he ends up elsewhere. What kind of satisfaction would it give me if they overpay for him? It's not like that it will be posted on the scoreboard as he is shutting down our team.
  4. His injury history is concerning, but he is about as good a quality arm as you can find in the FA market for relievers. When healthy, the guy is a beast. I'd be happier if the Yanks let him walk. The $10 or 11 million will not break the Yankee budget, and they'll have a lights out 8th inning guy if he's healthy. I hope Cashman takes a pass.
  5. This morning on a local news channel the sports reporter mentioned Steve Swisher as potential trade bait. His report about the Yankees off season was very general, so I was a bit surprised that he singled out Swisher when discussing trade possibilities.
  6. Get lost with your spam. I hope some TalkSox people spam your site. Ban this idiot.
  7. http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/articles/2010/10/24/pitching_coach_curt_young_decides_to_leave_as/ A possible replacement for Farrell?
  8. We'll see. George is dead, and Hank likes the horses.
  9. They will not stay pat, but they won a Championship last season and went to the ALCS last year. They are not desperate. I will not be surprised if they don't spend all of the $70 million. The Red Sox are more desperate at this point. They didn't make the playoffs in 2010 and have been beaten by the Rays in 2 of the last 3 seasons. I expect the Sox to spend.
  10. He struck out the first batter he faced and then gave up two singles. Wilson is in now to get 5 outs.
  11. Hypocrite Andy Pet-rat is starting his annual Brett Favre ********. I hope he makes a decision to come back quickly so the Yankees don't go too hard after Cliff Lee. I hate these ******* athletes that cry about being away from their families. He has about 4 months to spend with his family before pitchers and catchers report. Isn't that enough 24/7 time to spend with your family? http://www.newsday.com/sports/baseball/yankees/pettitte-not-sure-about-returning-to-yanks-in-2011-1.2396375
  12. Nice comeback by the Yanks. I don't know why anyone would have been talking about the significance of their comeback if they made one. They were given a gift in game 1, and when you get a gift like that in a short series and retake homefield advantage, usually the team that gives away the game loses the series. Atlanta was a good example of that this year. Their defense gave away a game in the playoffs and got eliminated. The Yanks brain dead idiot manager gave the advantage back and lost the series with one stupid decision after another. If there was any comeback to be discussed in this series, it was the comeback made by the Rangers who suffered a devastating loss in game 1. They showed some surprising fortitude and beat the Yankees at every turn after game 1. Nice comeback by the Rangers. A nice choke by the Yankees -- losing three games started by immortals Colby Lewis and Tommy Hunter.
  13. Back at you Example.
  14. Yes!!! Thank you Joe Girardi for salvaging my Holidays. The lost bet was well worth the investment.
  15. The key to this series for the Yanks has not been any of the players, but rather that Girardi apparently got mercury poisoning from thos stupid braces. He's f***ed up the series for the Yanks. If they survive, it will be because he is the luckiest manager in the world.
  16. I expect Hughes to be much better in game 6, and I expect the Yankees to kick Colby Lewis like a bag of trash. Game 7 should be very interesting, but the Rangers with Cliff Lee have the advantage. Sorry Swisher. Blame your idiot manager for the way he bungled the rotation for this series.
  17. Swisher is like a demented idiot with his ridiculously animated smile. The f***ing guy is jacked up on something
  18. Curt Schilling does not have the personality to coddle 12 pitchers. Curt can do no wrong in my book, but coaching is not for him.
