See my post following your post about Gardenshit. The only chance that I give the Twins is if Dopey Girardi tries to out-manage Gardencrap and he manages to out-smart himself. That is a real possibility. Torre just sat back and let gardenhire manage himself to defeat, but Girardi might actually react.

In the 7th inning, I said to my brother that the Twins have to show that they can win. I told him that Gardenhire was a Jackass to bring in Jesse Crain, who absolutely sucks against the Yanks. I told him that he should've gone to Fuentes for 2 innings and then Capps even though the game was tied. This game was huge for the Twins, and he managed it like a regular season game. I'll say it again. Crain sucks against the Yanks. He threw away the game as usual. I hate Gardenhire. I don't care how good a baseball man he is. He should be replaced at playoff time. Every year, it is the same s***.

I just took the same position as you, (i.e., that this would have the usual ending with the Yanks winning), and people got upset. I understand Emmz getting upset, because she is a Twins fan. She should know that I am sincere in hoping for the destruction of the Yankees. If she doesn't believe me, she is welcome to come to my home for the holidays to witness the s*** that I will have to take from relatives if the Skanks win. However, there was no reason for the cheap shot from the troll. Sorry, but there was no reason for it. It's his second cheap shot at me in two days. I PM'ed him after the first one, but he took another one today. If he wants to keep coming back under different identity and not continue to get banned, he should eat some humble pie like Jacko did.

It's more awesome than getting banned on a forum coming back under another identity posting pictures of yourself, busting yourself and getting banned again, moving and coming back under another identity with a different IP address. Way more awesome than that... Dutchy/Imperial.

Look at the Twins record against the Yankees over the last 4 seasons (.266 winning %). They never beat them. It's always the same story, game after game,series after series. Somehow the Twins and Gardenhire always always find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

But they never beat the Yankees... never. If Sox fans want to get anything out of this series, place a large wager on the Yankees.

Without Morneau, the Twins have no chance of winning a single game. The games will be close and exciting. The Twins may even take a lead into the final three inning of each game, but Gardenhire and the Twins bullpen will find a way to give away each game. Don't even bother watching if you are a Sox fan. It will be like watching an old movie and hoping for the ending to change.

What about an OF of Beltran, Crawford and Drew with McRibs as the 4th OF? The fragile cry baby can play the 4th OF spot for 1 season until he he is fully healed.

It's more like Schilling's case, when they told him to rehab and forego surgery, but he eventually needed the surgery. In Schilling's case it ended his career. In Beltran's case it cost him a big part of the following season.

With 9 HRs in 170 ABs, he could hit his way to a starting spot next season.

Met doctors botched his case. He went on his own to a doctor during the 2009 season who told him that he needed microfracture surgery. Met doctors said no, and said he only needed rest. By the end of the season the Met doctors admitted that he needed the surgery. That is why is rehab went into the 2010 season. I would take him for Dice K. I'd take a bag of ball for Dice K.

I can hardly wait until the Red Sox bury this treasure. If they can get Beltran in return, I'd be ecstatic. Beltran has lost mobility, and should probably play LF and not CF, but he is far from a broken down war horse. The second half of this season has been spent trying to get his stroke back while playing on a terrible team. He is an exceptional hitter, and a switch hitter.
