  1. Nice comeback by the Yanks. I don't know why anyone would have been talking about the significance of their comeback if they made one. They were given a gift in game 1, and when you get a gift like that in a short series and retake homefield advantage, usually the team that gives away the game loses the series. Atlanta was a good example of that this year. Their defense gave away a game in the playoffs and got eliminated. The Yanks brain dead idiot manager gave the advantage back and lost the series with one stupid decision after another. If there was any comeback to be discussed in this series, it was the comeback made by the Rangers who suffered a devastating loss in game 1. They showed some surprising fortitude and beat the Yankees at every turn after game 1. Nice comeback by the Rangers. A nice choke by the Yankees -- losing three games started by immortals Colby Lewis and Tommy Hunter.
  2. Back at you Example.
  3. Yes!!! Thank you Joe Girardi for salvaging my Holidays. The lost bet was well worth the investment.
  4. The key to this series for the Yanks has not been any of the players, but rather that Girardi apparently got mercury poisoning from thos stupid braces. He's f***ed up the series for the Yanks. If they survive, it will be because he is the luckiest manager in the world.
  5. I expect Hughes to be much better in game 6, and I expect the Yankees to kick Colby Lewis like a bag of trash. Game 7 should be very interesting, but the Rangers with Cliff Lee have the advantage. Sorry Swisher. Blame your idiot manager for the way he bungled the rotation for this series.
  6. Swisher is like a demented idiot with his ridiculously animated smile. The f***ing guy is jacked up on something
  7. Curt Schilling does not have the personality to coddle 12 pitchers. Curt can do no wrong in my book, but coaching is not for him.
  8. The hernia bothered him since May. It certainly didn't affect Mike Cameron the same way. http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/articles/2010/10/21/jose_bautista_has_sports_hernia_surgery/
  9. Maybe now we can get a pitching coach that knows something about pitching. Bring back Dave Wallace.
  10. I don't think there is any question that the Sox will be looking to pick up two top FA bullpen arms. The question isn't whether they will be willing to spend the money. The question will be whether the top guys will be willing to take a job as a 7th or 8th inning guy or whether they will be looking to be closers.
  11. So reasonable and respectful. You have no chance of fitting in here.
  12. Improvement is the kind of change that I like. O like all of the improvements that have been made to Fenway thus far. I don't like messing with the field dimensions which have been the same since Ted Williams second season. Those unchanging dimensions are part of the historical charm of the place. Add to that the possibility that it will start playing like a bandbox, and I see nothing positive about it.
  13. Yes, it is. What a bitch slapping!!!
  14. I did not think this series would get to a game 7 for a second Cliff Lee start, but the Rangers are guaranteed that he will get the ball in game 7 or start game 1 of the World Series. I am very surprised. The Yankee pen has looked like... well, it has looked like our pen.
  15. Hamilton is in a groove right now. Goodness!
  16. Yes, he pitched for the Sox. I'm not sure about the year. I'm so old that I had his father's (Bob Oliver) baseball card. I think he played for the Royals.
  17. That pitch hit Swusher in the pant leg. No doubt about it.
  18. Darren Oliver. This could get interesting fast.
  19. Championships are not easy to come by. When you've got the chance to lock one down, you lock it down. That's my opinion. f*** the prospects. Refusal to sacrifice the future usually sacrifices the present.
