    Bogar wins, because he is doing it for 2 years. I think Sveum was only with us for 1 year.

    I can't believe that they brought him back after last year. He just cost us a big inning. It should be 1st and 3rd with one out and the score 4-2.

    Bogar is mentally challenged sending home the slowest guy on the team. The only thing that would have been worse would have been if he got injured.

    I don't like it. The novelty of it has long worn off for me. The natural rivalry weekend thing never panned out, because most teams have no natural rival in the other league. Also, we always get stuck playing the Braves and/or the Phillies, who are usually pretty good, while the Yankees always get 6 games against the almost always suckass Mets. It is not a fair schedule.

    I stand by my statement. Maybe he catches on with someone for a week or two until someone comes off the DL, but he will not get another 200 major league ABs. He stinks and he can't play defense either.

    I was at the game when he hit the GS. I had realized it was the first pitch he had seen in the majors. It was a cool story. He'll always have that cool story, but he was never major leagu material, and certainly not for a franchise like the Boston Red Sox. It was a Joe Hardy moment, and he never hit another HR. His powers were gone right after that swing.

He turned out to have a less stellar career than Morgan Burkhart, who I had likened him to.

    In the past game threads have been much worse. At least people aren't attacking each other. I think we have to allow people to be disappointed with or angry at game developments. It's not any different than the way people react at the ballpark. The only difference is that the players and umps can't hear us. Posters in a game thread shouldn't be taking offense at negative remarks directed at the players, coaches or managers. An emotional reaction during a game is normal. Taking issue with someone's emotional outburst that is not directed at them borders on immaturity.

    I think the options were important. Unless he shoots out the lights before Jenks and Wheeler come back or Hill stinks up the joint, he'll get optioned to AAA when the other guys come off the DL.

    Thank goodness we scored there. If we went to extra innings, AGon would have been protected by Iglesias and McDonald. That would have been terrible.
