  1. I don't know about that, but Beltran is better than both and he is available for nothing but $
  2. Lowrie played that like it was a hand grenade.
  3. Friday night. People are out doing stuff i guess.
  4. Jojo Reyes is garbage. We should be lighting him up.
  5. VA, where are the lineups? You've spoiled us.
  6. Posada has been banned from the catching equipment. The emergency catcher s Swisher, who ain't no ouitfielder
  7. Girardi loves the no talent little psycho with an attitude, because he reminds him of himself. Having this no talent little psychopath on the major league team tells me two things: 1. Girardi must have a deep abiding grudge against Posada to decree in Spring Training that Jorge cannot go near the catching equipment. 2. Montero must be a god awful defensive catcher. Making him into an adequate major league catcher must be as big a project as making Wily Month Pena into a ballerina.
  8. I hope all you youngins appreciate what you saw this week. Old codgers lile me never saw 6 wins in a row at Yankee Stadium. My deceased Dad, born in 1918 never saw that. Don't take it for granted. It's a huge thing. Go Sawx!!!
  9. Just read the gamethread. I was MIA last night, but watched the entire game. Very enjoyable game thread. It would not have been the same without Jacko. He was a good sport, even though he was a bit overboard about the eye for an eye stuff. For those of you who don't live in the NY area, I can tell you that Jacko's position is reflective of the thirst for blood and revenge that has been all over the media since Tuesday night. It has been a pattern for quite some time in NY that when the Sox start dominating them that Yankee Universe starts screaming about hitting our guys. It's not always a tit for tat situation. In the past they have screamed to throw at Papi's or Manny's legs to move them off the plate and "make them uncomfortable". They hate losing and they are always willing to resort to dirty bullying tactics to turn things around. Every sports news outlet has been saying the same thing for 3 days- not just the sensationalistic shock sports jock guys. Everyone has been screaming to hit Ortiz. He might as well have had a target on his back. CC had no choice. Thankfully, he did it the right way. Papi "took it like a man" (like he advised Girardi to do) and he let his bat do the talking getting two hits in the 7th off the two best Yankee pitchers other than Mo. For those of you who have in the past talked about letting Ortiz go after the season, eat s*** and die. Back to the Yankee fans and their blood thirst. They were getting worked up all week long. I thought it was a disgrace that so many Yankee fans cheered when Ortiz got hit- totally classless. As for Girardi, he's a punk and Jacko is right that he is a terrible manager. I am the first to question Tito's game moves, but Girardi maybe even worse. Terry at least is a very good manager with regard to clubhouse issues and personalities. Girardi is not, and it was ridiculous that he made an issue of the bat flip on Tuesday. His explanation was that he had " a young kid on the mound"? Are you f***ing kidding! Was he afraid that he would be emotionally scarred. I was at the game. Everyone was watching the ball. No one even noticed the bat flip. Noesi said that he didn't see it. Girardi showed himself to be a punk by going into the gutter on that issue. Torre never would have gone there. Papi had the perfect response by telling Joe G to take it like a man. He can't, cause he's a punk.
  10. From the Herald: This doesn't sound quite as bad. He has been moving just fine. He's been running well and stealing bases.
  11. This could move Crawford into the 2 hole. You would hope that this could get better just with some rest. Once they start carving away in the joint it usually becomes a chronic situation.
  12. I leave the room for a few minutes and come back to this ********. We need to get middle infielder instead of Sutton. Scutaro can go every day, but Lowrie is delicate. When is Navarro coming back?
  13. I don't miss those days at all.
  14. With the game hanging in the balance jeter sucked ass and hit into a DP. I really enjoyed that. I am looking forward to the day when Mo sucks ass too!!!
  15. Love that Dirty Water!!! First place baby!!!! Tomorrow Beckett can go balls to the wall for 6 or 7 with a rested Bard and Papelbon.
  16. Scutaro takes forever to get to the ball and get rid of it. Plus, he has a weak arm. Great performance by Aceves tonight. This is the best he has looked.
  17. Maybe if they get King Felix.
  18. Piece of s*** Cervelli on base 4 times tonight.
  19. Wheeler for the 9th?
