    It took me 4 years to kill that horse. For 4 years, people have been posting about Japanese revenue streams without a shred of evidence. Finally, as Dice K is on his way out the door, the press has finally asked the question and printed the truth. A few posts (supported with facts) in a couple of days is hardly beating a dead horse. Maybe you can stop telling me what I can post about.

    Beat writers are very reluctant to criticize the manager for obvious reasons, but while Peter A. went on record agreeing with the move, he did mention how widespread the second guessing has been. If the second guessing had no foundation, Peter A. would not have mentioned it. Very clever by Peter A. As for the "winning the game now" argument, a manager should always look ahead and take into consideration the consequences of a move later in the game. For example, you don't pinch hit for both catchers. That's an easy one. Tito didn't play the percentages with the pinch running move. Since Sutton is not a base stealer, he should have waited to see if AGon had advanced to second or third with less than 2 out.

    His durability has been better than expected throughout the 4 years, despite the vagina and Nancy Drew jokes. Several of the games he sat because of lefty pitchers. That being said, I have a tough time comparing the productivity of a guy that plays 130 games (looking at OPS) to a guy that plays 155+ games. It's not an apples to apples comparison. The everyday guy is not sitting against the tougher pitchers. In my mind that is why the compiler statistics like RBI's and Runs and Total Bases still have relevance.

    Tito managed the game like a brain dead idiot. He boxed himself in with his pinch running moves by surrounding Youk with Sutton and Cameron instead of AGon and Ortiz. If they had stayed in the lineup. the game would have been over innings ago. Pedroia had the bat taken out of his hands twice because Sutton was on deck. Tito needs brain enhancement surgery.
