  1. Big Pap David Ortiz is a beast! Three Run rocket. Where are you idiots who were writing him off the payroll after 2011? Where are you? You are fools!! Fools!!
  2. Did he suffer a pulled fat injury. Maybe he has fatassitis- and inflammation of the fatty tissue.
  3. All Star selections-- none. He's no Paul Blair. You don't need metrics to prove that a guy is a great fielder. You just don't Gardner will be out of baseball in 5 years, just like Chade Curtis(age 31), who was a better defensively and a better all around player with a little pop. Yankee fans are delusional about Gardner. He's a 4th OFer type. Period, but believe what you want.
  4. Varitek with a 3 run bomb!!! 3 HRs on the year.
  5. This is a huge over-estimation.
  6. I think he has a couple of innings left in him today.
  7. His defense is okay, not excellent. His speed makes up for frequent bad jumps. His hands are good, not great. Arm is below average. He's a very one dimensional player with marginal major league skill. I hope he is a Yankee starter for the next 5 years.
  8. Pedey getting hot? Hopefully, because that will really supercharge the offense.
  9. Let's go Horseface!!!
  10. He's not as good as him. Gardner's only major league attribute is his speed. He got caught stealing again-- the 8th time already this season.
  11. Ump lost track of balls and strikes? He can't count to 3?
  12. Drew blows. Beltran and Reyes!!!!
  13. Scoot doing the job. Nice crooked #
  14. He did have a major brain hemorrhage. He's lucky that he can speak.
  15. Gonzo looks terrible on two pitches, but with two strikes he is still money in the bank with runners in scoring position. Lowrie can't bat behind Ortiz. That's just ridiculous. They will IBB him all day long.
  16. Nice catch by Crawford.
  17. Day off for Youkilis.
  18. Of Red Sox current players, barring a bad injury Carl Crawford will be a Hall of Famer without question. He has been consistently excellent from a very young age. At this age, he has 100 more hits than Derek Jeter. His hits and SB #'s at the end will be eye-popping. Ortiz is going to be a close call. I don't think it should be close. He is a HOFer. He has been a star performer for almost 10 years, and most of those years he has been an unstoppable offensive force. The DH thing will hurt him. If he can get to 500 HRs (he'll get close) and be a key component of 1 or 2 more World Series, he'll make it. AGon will have to put up a string of Ortiz-type (2003-2007) seasons to get consideration. I doubt Pedroia has a chance, but he has always accomplished things that no one thought he could could do. It's hard for relievers to make it, but considering that Papelbon has reached 200 saves faster than anyone, he's on the right track. He'll need to be very productive for 8 more years, and he'll have to be dominant for about half of that. A couple of more Championships with him playing a key role will be a big help. As for past Sox stars, Pedro is a lock. Schilling should be a lock, but he will be borderline. Manny should have been a lock, but the PED busts will be a big issue. Damon's numbers may end up making a good case for him. If he gets 3,000 knocks and with his two World series championships and a boatload of SBs, he'll have an excellent chance.
