    He did a Joe Kerrigan. Bloom will get until the All Star Break of 2021 to get the team over .500. .500 ball is the minimum threshold that should be expected even when rebuilding for a team with a high payroll and the highest ticket prices.

    You are entitled to your opinion. For myself, if Benny Boy is at the helm of my team, I am pretty worried that my team will suck. When DD is in charge, I feel confident about winning the Division. DD will not remain unemployed for long. He missed this abbreviated season, but I think he will be back next season with some team. Benny will be cellar dwelling for a while. Think about how bad the Pirates are if they are worse than this Red Sox squad that has 2 starting pitchers. The Red Sox are unwatchable. Watching the Pirates must be like serving a prison sentence.

    i hate Maddon. He is an arrogant know it all, but DD never gave me that vibe. I would describe him as bland. He was okay with me, because when I saw that he sat in the stands at every single spring training game. He was very hands on in that regard observing his players. He also watched most road games from the stands. A self-important twit wouldn’t do that.

    DD isn't a coffee boy. LOL!! Our old coffee boy, Benny the Boob is doing a bang up job locking down the #1 draft pick and beating out our current Blooming idiot.

    Houck looked good in February and the first week of March in fort Myers. I thought he had a chance to win a spot if Spring Training and the season had proceeded as normal.

    A thin rotation can certainly wear out a good bullpen and turn it to crap, but I am not seeing many quality arms in the pen that would be useful behind a decent MLB starting rotation.

    And the 4 years of DD were wildly successful. Take those out and Tampa is better since 2008.

    You were comparing the Red Sox record versus Tampa's record since 2008. I though that comparison is skewed since that 12 year period included an unprecedented 3 last place finishes by the Red Sox.

    Take out the Ben years of 3 last place finishes and it looks better. And he managed to do that with one of the highest payrolls in baseball. That was not DD's fault. That was all on Ben.

    Tampa has had many more years of suck than success with its tiny payroll. If you are going to depend on finding cheap "diamonds in the rough" and not also spend on established talent, you will have more suck than success.

    And Ben left DD with choking debt that was completely unproductive.

    Three consecutive Division Championships, topped off with the best season in franchise history and a World Championship? Speaking for myself, I really enjoyed that "error". It was an unprecedented run. This, I am not enjoying.err
