    Thank goodness Buehrle is out of the game. The guy has been cutting through our lineup like a hot knife through butter. Gibbons demonstrating true managerial genius goes to the pen after a walk to get a 40 yr old lefty to replace the lefty Buehrle. This could be a huge break for us.

    Buehrle expands the zone as he goes deeper into games, and our guys are swinging early in the counts. They need some patience for crying out loud.

    Agreed, but I am always surprised when one of our OFers throws out a runner at home. I got used to pop gun arms in the OF. Victorino can throw.

    Farrell should consider moving Ells to to bottom third of the order until he starts getting on base. The guy is killing the top of the order.

    I love that Buehrle pitches like he is double parked. Games would bean hour shorter if everyone pitched like him.

    Do any of our statheads know the correlation between 1 point of fielding percentage and runs scored?

    It doesn't look good for them right now. Johnson was a high risk proposition due to his injury history. Dickey was high risk due to the inconsistency of knuckle ballers. Melky was a risk due to PED performance. Reyes and Buehrle were supposed to be the low risk reliable guys. Reyes is on the shelf and Buehrle is s***ing himself. If those guys don't play to career norms, it will get ugly for the Jays.

    They took a shot. They have been waiting on prospects for years prior to this and their team went into the toilet and their fans abandoned them. They did succeed in temporarily improving their attendance. That could reverse if they don't improve their play. As for ruining their future, the best prospect that they traded was the catcher who was stuck behind Arencebia. The other were not all that. If nothing else, they have a great young great dynamic Shortstop who will be with them for a few years. I think some Sox fans were surprised at the way he dismantled us in our first series against the Jays. I was not, because I have seen a lot of him with the Mets. He is a great player.
