  1. That is an excellent point. I have heard the theory that injuries start to manifest themselves in a loss of command. He was walking the ballpark at the end of last season.
  2. Your post was nothing more than ridicule. I wouldn't expect you to understand that ridicule is offensive behavior, because without ridicule you have no material. Your remarks are never good natured humor. You wouldn't know how to do that. It would be like Wayne Newton trying to rap. I have fun everyday. I am having fun right now. I don't hate every boss that I have ever had and I don't change jobs like underwear. So, tell me who is miserable?
  3. To echo a sentiment on the forum from yesterday, we all know what you meant, chump. At least when I ridicule someone, I have the guts to name them and not hide behind some thinly veiled lame excuse that you didn't name the person you were so clearly ridiculing. BTW, who mentioned Fred? Not me. You did, but I guess your snark was not directed at him. You are only here to shout you snarky insults from the bleachers while trying to blend in as another face in the crowd. That's nonsense and cowardly. That is directed right at you.
  4. Hmmm. Is this the type of not so subtle poking/ridicule that YOTN referred to yesterday? I guess poking and ridicule is okay as long as the target is an approved target.
  5. The bullpen was the most improved part of the team over the off season. I thought the improved bullpen would pickup 10 games for the team. Losing Hanrahan will be a huge blow.
  6. They have managed to hang in there. Girardi would have been happy not to be buried 6 or 7 games at this point with this crew.
  7. We have had a surprising fast start and played much better than the experts expected, but for a reality check the O's will have an identical record if we lose this game and the Yankees are 2 games behind us with half of a team.
  8. Webster's ERA is 11.74. That's Zach Stewart territory.
  9. Could it be that our starting pitching has some depth problems? God forbid we get any injuries.
  10. Anyone who uses Webster's name and stud in the same sentence should be mocked and ridiculed. I am still happy with our salary dump trade.
  11. Webster got the start to give Doubront an extra day of rest and he get hammered by the Twinkies and Doubront has to pitch anyway. That didn't work out very well.
  12. I don't think he would kill himself on his wife's birthday.
  13. I prefer to call it the Hot Corner.
  14. The ALE is no longer the premier division in the AL. It wasn't last year, and I don't think it will be this year either. I don't have the stats, but the ALW got the better of the East last season. I expect that will continue. I think the Central will hold its own against the East this year too.
  15. Once Bonds or Clemens gets in, all the other PED users will follow if they have the numbers. I think Ortiz might be there with the numbers if he has a couple of healthy seasons.
  16. I am looking forward to seeing Webster tonight. Has there been any word on Hanrahan's MRI?
  17. Since he has returned to Portland, he has continued to stink. He hasn't had a clean outing in any of his 3 outings and his WHIP is 4. Spread some jam on him. He's toast.
  18. I think it will be once and done for Webster unless he hurls an absolute gem.
  19. The part in bold above about the Sox having shutdown arms in the pen when those guys return should have been stated conditionally with regard to health issues. You stated it as a certainty. To which, I appropriately responded "duh", then you backed off the certainty and added the condition turning the "when'" they return into an "If" they return-- to which I responded asking you to make up your mind. Are you saying "when" or "if". You really are off your game today. And you had set the bar so low for yourself.
  20. He's really off his game today.
  21. You responded to my comment. You are the one who is not following.
  22. No, that was not my point.
  23. Former Met, Pedro Beato?
  24. Old news. This was reported last night.
